You'll be hard pressed to find a new "budget player" w/ the raw performance of the RP82 @ your price points. The RP82 is/was a once in an electronic life - cycle miracle :D

Bro, Listen to Drew - its a HTIB. You could save a lot of money and not compromise performance by getting speaker cable from Home Depot.

It has in fact been reported that both formats will be backwards-compatible with DVD.
