I think it's quite hideous looking. I thought the AVR line is the best looking piece of hardware ever created and then they introduce this flimsy looking thing. Shame.
Dean-What would be a good FP for game viewing, especially PC gaming. Also was it the picture, or just viewing it on a projector in general that turned you off?
You should show your wife some of the better looking 'bulky' speakers. Speakers aren't the black fiberboard boxes that they once were. Most speakers today will be the best looking thing in someones house. Especially a nice cherry finish.
Nick-I've heard of actual TVs having a DVI (or VGA, you can get an adapter) input in the back. This is what you want. Anything else (even s-video) would look like crap. A Computer monitor is much more refined to handle PC games than a TV.

Wow I keep hearing so much about this little bugger. Seems like it could be one of the driving forces to lower market prices of some of the much more expensive units.
Neil-Wow that's a very nice NEC, I love their computer monitors. That is pretty much what I'm looking for (I realize that toslink would be uesless on them now), but the price tag is quite high.
The InFocus one looks very nice. I'm not to sure about the 800x600 Native, and only 1024x768 max though. Also do any projectors come with a S/PDIF jack? I've only seen RCA Components...
I'm a newbie at displays and home theatres in general, I'm more into computers which leads me to have some knowledge about this subject. Anyways, I've been really looking into revamping my HTS, and I want to start by getting a front projector. I need some certain specs for this projector...
