This might be a ground loop problem. Try plugging the devices to the same outlet if you can. Google for 'fixing video ground loop' and read the first hit that comes.

Box back cover art badly wrinkled, inserts slightly wrinkled here. One of the inserts was loose and another one was upside down. Nothing to take it back for though.

I also can recommend the commentary on the R2 version. Usually Carpenter's commentaries tend to be a bit boring but I guess that mostly due to Rodney Pipers very enthusiastic participation this really is entertaining to listen to. The image is also very nice on the R2 version.
