    Well Ive finally made the decision to sell my projector, in view to going travelling around the world for a few years and by the time I get back the projector will be outdated. Im thinking of going for plasma next time, as when I get back my new place my not be able to handle a projector etc.

    Chris Brock: Ive since purchased some new curtains with blockout backings. Without this I would have to wait until the early evening before watching. Now I can watch it anytime during the day. Actually Im thinking of upgrading my AE500 to the AE700.

    Ron-P: AE500 is fantastic, I run pretty much everything in low mode as I find the only need for high is if the movie is extremely dark. If I had the choice all over again I would still go for the AE500, absolutly great! What size room are you putting your projector to be in?

    Ross_N: Yes it was DIY, just used a matt white paint the trim around the side is about 12cm, thought it gave a better effect then a thinner border.

    Omard: Room is about 4.2m by 6m Its a really nice size for a room, still gives alot of space to move around and doesn't look empty or too clutted.

    BrianKR, I must say your room is very impressive! I love what you have done with the lighting on the top of your curtains and ofcourse the speakers look great and really offset the room adding to it the white chairs & sofa give the room a nice contrast. :)

    Should I buy Sony or Panasonic?

    I have the Panasonic AE-500, excellent picture quality. Very happy with it for the price. Sony I used to love however I find they are overpriced for what you get.

    howdy, Picture 2, is how I had it setup. However I found the subwoofer was not pushing out alot of bass. It is a 2x10" subwoofer. **Please note this is an old pic with my 68cm tv. I used to have it in the corner or close to it; now with my new projector screen I cannot do that...

    Howdy, Im testing at the moment running my front speakers on there side as this means with my room size I can put my subwoofer in the corner which has totally increased the bass responce. I will post a pic later this afternoon; however I was wondering if anyone has every tried this before...
