ok, The Z1 is native 4:3 while the Z2 is 16:9. Z2 bulbs run from $250 - $300.

I watch SDTV at 110" with my Z2...you will be fine. I only back this statement if you use AT LEAST componet source interfaces

um...my Samsung 910 send HDCP Video, not sure where you got the PC digital info from. Come to think of it, don't know what you mean by PC digital. Unless of course, you mean without the HDCP.

Have you tried pulling up the DVD Player's menu....does it too jitter?

I've seen terrible reviews for the Bravo...and for $50 more you can get the 910, but I you won't get the MPEG-4 playback. If that is what you really want.

He doesn't want to feed it 1080i. The Z2 is 720p native. I'm not sure about the Zenith player but I use the Samsung 910HD wich allows you to chose the output.

I use only Componet and DVI when interfacing with my Z2. I wouldn't recommend buying Moster Cables, but I do use a good quality cable...can't remember their name. Brought them from Best Buy. I would never recommend using anything less than Componet though. You do not need a Line doubler.

Don't live near Portland...In Northern Cali., on my way to Texas. BUT, for reference, I did compare my Z2 to a Runco 710 (I believe thats the number) and didn't see anywhere near $17,000 worth of difference. Unless, the more money you pay the larger and louder the projector gets.

Being that you have a Z2, I would agree with David. Mainly due to the fact that the Z2 has both H&V Lens Shift. Any other projector without this feature should be mounted first. Congrats on your Z2!

Dave_vega, You don't need to spend money on a scaler if your display will accept the 720p signal. As long as you can accept it, your display will convert to native res.

The TV you are looking at will accept a 720p signal, but you won't be able to display it. If what you typed is correct, then any 720p signal will be displayed as 480p. In simpler terms, its not worth it. You would basicly get nothing out of it besides a progressive signal. For those of you...

Your statement isn't true...If your wall is textured and has a coat of flat-paint, you will not see any texture what so ever and WILL be able to display a great picture. If you have a non-textured wall, a glossy will help a little with ambiant light. I'm assuming that this isn't a dedicated HT...

If your wall isn't textured, then use a Glossy-White. Otherwise use a Flat-White.

There are plenty of choices...BUT; 1. The Pelican is rated "piss-poor", and not worth the money. 2. Recievers can introduce noise to the signal. I, for the most part, go for quality. For this application, you really do get what you pay for. Plus the auto switching is God-send!

The H30 can't put out a better picture that the Z2 or L500, due to the fact that its not an HD projector. So this augument isn't really between DLP or LCD, it's between SD and HD displays. Both the Z2 and the L500 have native Wide-Screen support also, while the H30 isn't.

The Z2 is great for Shelf mounting (thats what I did with mine). You'll get a native 16x9 diplay for under $2000. The only issue would be the 124" display at 16 feet...if thats a problem!?

Even if your receiver can "upconvert" lesser sources to component, you're not going to get the quality that you may be expecting. Which wouldn't matter anyway, due to the fact that you are feeding your Z2 with one of the worse feeds possible. If you want to do "Component" Switching, I suggest...
