It's a little more complicated than that... the film was actually projected in a movie theater so you have to take into account the variance in the projectionist's timing whenever he changes film reels as well! :-)

I've done something like that a couple years back (the real trouble was synching the two, seeing as the Audience Participation Album runs a little slow). I was frankly hoping to be able to replace it with this Blu-ray but it looks like i'll have to keep both! :-(

Still waiting for mine too. No big deal. I love that you get the digital download as part of the order. Thumbs up for that!

I'm seriously disappointed by this disc... :-( When I first heard they were going to include the "Vintage 1983 callback track", I was sure they would include the actual AUDIO TRACK, not some incomplete transcript of said track in subtitle form! Even worst, they didn't include the (bad)...

Oh, i forgot... Here's another one: Universal's "Conan the Destroyer" - still non-anamorphic (even though MGM has it in Region 4!)

I'm making mine as we speak... also throwing in some grain reduction since the old transfer looks REALLY bad; I guess they took the old laserdisc transfers to make the dvds... You know the worst part? They're the type of company that probably uses slow sales of bad non-anamorphic/pan&scan...

Finally, i ended up going with the Staples/Business Depot cases, not exacly the same thing but close enough. They are the same width (7mm) and do the job well enough.

What exactly are the new Fox TV series cases called and where can i get them ? You know, those clear slim doubles used for 24 Season 5, Boston Legal, Mission: Impossible season 1 etc. The hub is similar to the one from a regular CD Jewel Case and the two sides interlock together when you...

Actually, "the destruction of the Kurtz compound with Coppola commentary" was on the original AN dvd so there isn't much new stuff there...

Does anyone know if the replacement program is still available? I picked up an old copy of the film on a trip last x-mas and then filled in their form two or three months ago without getting any response... I went back to check today and the "questions about your dvd" link is gone! Who...

If you are looking for Brazil, search for "Brazil - O Filme", it will be easier... Unfortunately, i cannot find it anywhere. Submarino.com.br have it but they do not ship ousite of the country :-( Isn't there anyone selling this on eBay?!? :-D

Unfortunately (and i don't know if it's the same in the US), the transfer on this film is a bad PAN to NTSC transfer!!! Come on people! They come up with this nice packaging and a 2-disc set for this Academy Award nominated film and the best they can come up with is a PAL transfer...

i miss dvdcoverart.com... :frowning: I'd gotten over bad artwork and bilingual covers, i could print out whatever i needed... but now it's back to complaining...

What really disapoints me here is that this film is being released by the same guys who put out Superbit editions of Spiderman, Bad Boys II and Underworld!!! Not that there's anything wrong with those films but they are brand-new films and allready look and sound great! Why not re-release...

Has anyone else with a DVD-2900 tried playing the whole movie through with the dts track selected... i'd just like to know if i'm the only one for whom it freezes up at the branched sceenes... mjl :frowning:

I'd rather buy a VHS tape than a pan&scan dvd... and that's not very likely to happen seeing as i just got rid of my last vcr a few months back...

(p.s. i already posted this in the other MOL problem thead that has been abandoned so forgive the re-post but...) I've got some really bad problems playing MOL on my setup... On my (one-month-old) Denon DVD-2900, playing the film with the DTS track selected, the film actually FREEZES...
