I remember going to the first MI movie - really looking forward to it. Then getting completely yanked out of the film with that stupid plot point. Jim Phelps a traitor? Never happen. Haven't seen it or any of the rest since.
Came across the second season of 'The Rat Patrol" for only 20 bucks.
I got the first season for the same price about eight months ago.
Since it only ran two seasons....it's now a completed set!
Y'know I often wondered what the purpose of the camera zooming in on the movie screen was. The product placement thing makes a lot of sense. Wow, you do learn something new every day.
I picked up my set on Tuesday - got the last copy at my local Future Shop. Don't know when I'll get to watch it, I'm working my way through a lot of other stuff at the moment. If the picture quality is even close to the first three seasons I'll be more than satisfied. I watch everything on a...
Hawaii Five-0 Mission: Impossible The Streets Of San Francisco And for some reason the first season theme for Space: 1999. Works best with the video highlights running with it though.
I don't have any true blind buys. I have to have some passing familiarity with the show to shell out the bucks. My best buy would be all the Hawaii Five-0 sets. They look absolutely stunning on my 52" HDTV. Crisp and clear. Beautiful. The other would be the first season of Mission...
That's right. You also have to remember that you needed a lot more light to film in Technicolor. The bright lights brought out all the detail and vivid colors of the clothes and sets, but lost all the shadows and any "mood" created when using B&W photography. You can't slap color on a film...
I'm no fan of the half season set either. Bought the first "Streets of San Francisco" set without noticing that it was Vol. 1. Haven't got around to picking up vol.2, and if season two is done in the same split season format, I may skip it entirely.
Fantastic show. One of my favorites growing up in the seventies. I was so looking forward to this series arrival on DVD. When it came out, I snapped it right up. What I didn't realize was that is was a split season. I still haven't gotten around to picking up vol. 2 yet. I really don't...
I actually didn't notice that the season was split. I saw the box on the shelf, and assumed it was the full first season.
I did read the episode list on the back, but wasn't surprised to see the shortened list. I just thought the show had a thirteen episode first season.
Doesn't matter, I...
I'm loving rewatching this show again. One of my all time favorites. It originally aired here in Canada (pre cable days) on Sunday nights at 11:30pm. It was actually the first show my parents would let me stay up late to watch. TVLand Canada ran one of the syndication packages for a year or...
I have had a KP51WS500 for one year now and had the flickering problem addressed. Mine was fixed, but the flicker returned, not as bad but still there. Apparently, there are new service notices and I may have to have one of the color guns replaced. I'd get this looked at ASAP by whoever does...
I emailed Gregg and he didn't know of anyone in my area that does calibrations etc. :frowning: Anybody else out there know of anyone in the Maritime provinces area of Canada? I'm in Prince Edward Island- about 3 hours from Halifax, N.S. or 1 1/2 hours from Moncton N.B.
A quick update- He just called and he read me the service notice. Sounded exactly like my problem. He said there is a kit for it and he'd give me a call again on Tues. So far so good.
Thanks Guys! Timely advice. The service tech just left. He seemed a little puzzled, he hadn't seen quite this problem before. I mentioned to him Jason's statement about the service notice so after he left he was going to check with Sony about it. This is a small market so there's not a whole...
OK, coming out of lurker mode here. First, let me say this site has been a great information source while I was trying to decide what to buy. You guys have been a lot of help. Here's my problem. I bought the Sony KP51WS500 last October. Great set, DVDs are amazing. A little while ago while...
