Didn't really care for it. I was just waiting for it to be over. It was just too nonsensical. I didn't hate it, but I just didn't feel it. I guess it's just not my cup of tea.
I enjoyed it. Some cool visuals and a little humor here and there. Let's face it, there's only so much you can do with a character like Superman. But I thought everything was handled well. I look forward to the next installment.
They could add three discs of extras and I still wouldn't buy this jumbled mess of a movie on DVD. This thing screams Director's Cut. I can't believe that Ratner is happy with what's on the screen. But, what do I know? Maybe he thinks it's his masterpiece. Regardless, I'll have to pass.
Well, I could go into details, but it's already been said. So I'll only say this--I didn't really care who won or came out on top. What a mess of a movie. Batman Begins: 4.5 out of 5 Spiderman 2: 4.5 out of 5 The Hulk: 2 out of 5 X-2: 4.25 out of 5 X-3: 1 out of 5
Here was my question from last year:
Do you think I'm a happy man? I'm not even worried about the other ones. I have no doubt that they'll come out eventually. So many titles and hi-def besides in '06--what can I say? Warner Home Video...damn!!
I love the scene where Lewis finally realizes what Joy means to him. That's Hopkins at the height of his powers. This news is just one more reason why I need to buy a region-free player.
Ah shit, that's just great. Hmm...what do you think the chances are that Symantec will offer a free version of their "new" firewall? I guess it's just a pipe dream to think that these small companies will last forever. The only people that will survive aside from the large companies are those...
I'm not aware of any version of Office 2003 that comes with Frontpage. I know 2003 Pro doesn't because that's what I have. Office uses Publisher as it's website tool. You'll need to buy Frontpage separately.
Hmm...before and after, eh? I never would've thought about that. I'll have to remember that. Thanks Joe.
Yeah, there are times when I wish I didn't know squat about computers (and don't compared to some I've met, mind you), because it can be painful trying to find a solution to a problem. And...
I just don't like using Windows to create partitions--what can I say?? And there ain't no way I'm using it if the OS is infected. I'm heading for fdisk or preferably a more robust third party tool. Again...paranoia.
Hmm...are you absolutely sure about that? How 'bout it Jon? Any luck yet?
Glad to hear it. Who knows why it happened. Somehow xp was getting confused about your desktop. An OS can be a funny thing at times. It's all just lines of code executed by a piece of hardware with electricity running through it. Sometimes it's something the user has done or added to his...
Good point Joe. But messing with the MBR is the second to last thing I would do--right behind smashing the hard drive with a hammer. It may make your hard drive a paperweight. I'd trying re-formatting, running a floppy based anti-virus, replacing the boot files, or anything before I would be...
Hmm...that looks ok. Could be any number of things I guess. It's something I'd have to see in person to figure out. All I can say now is to completely search the registry and see if anything looks out of sorts. There are lots of other entries for wallpapers. Just use the search function in the...
I agree Paul, but I'm a "better safe than sorry" kind of guy. I just don't feel comfortable using XP to handle partitions--especially when there's a virus involved. Plus I also think it's important to be familiar with command line. Those are the two main reasons why I wouldn't recommend what...
Post any settings in that registry key that have to do with wallpaper. You can save some time typing by right-clicking the particular registry keys and choosing the "modify" option and then just copy and paste them into your post. DON'T change any of the settings though. I'm looking for the...
I could walk you through some xp recovery steps, but, they may or may not work, are rather painful, may not remove the virus and I'm a little foggy on--so I won't. Do what Paul said and change your boot order to boot from cd first. Then reboot with your 98 disc in the cdrom drive. Select...
It could probably be a number of things I imagine, but here's what I would check. Go into windows explorer and in the "Tools" menu go to "Folder Options" and then "View". Click the "Show Hidden Files And Folders" button and click ok. Now navigate to this folder: C:Documents and Settings"your...
Funny stuff guys. Here's one that I'm not exactly proud to say came out of my evil head. What do you call a fisherman that always knows which lure to choose? Why a master baiter of course!
:rolleyes
Here's the US line-up. Maybe Canada and the US can get together between games for some shuffleboard. Are we sure that this is the Olympics and not the Senior Olympics? Geez, I hope no one breaks a hip. ;) GOALTENDERS (3) NoNameHt (cm)Wt (kg)BirthdateS/CBirthplace2005-06 NHL TeamCollege...
I'm glad you got help Justin. Believe me when I say that I feel your pain. I also have health issues--and they make my life a living hell at times. Every time I go to the ER to have something checked out, and they don't find anything it just drives me nuts. The last time I went I had a CAT scan...
It's good to see that some folks agree with me. It would be nice to see someone do an update of the original. And it would befit a story like Godzilla to have it directed by someone who can do action and story. Ridley Scott would be another good choice. I'd also say Spielberg, but I'm not sure...
It just means to swap out your hardware one piece at a time. If it solves your problem then you know which component is responsible. Of course you need some spare parts lying around--something that not everyone has. It can be a pain in the butt to do. It would be the last thing I'd try.
Boy, beats me. Data Execution Prevention is a memory dealie that helps to protect against viruses or some such thing. So I guess you could have a virus. You might try replacing your boot files with fresh copies, or maybe take a look at your sysedit files and look for anything that looks...
He means this file: C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetchosts It's just another option for address resolution. It's a good way to stop ads and such by using the loopback address. It could be that I guess. It's hard to say. You can try a system restore or maybe even a Last Known Good...
I don't know, I guess I need more out of a movie than I used too. Maybe my tastes are changing. I found it rather clunky and underwhelming. I didn't hate it--but it just didn't do anything for me. There where a few times when I felt a tear in my eye, but that was about it. Easily forgettable...
