could it be that you have the color set to high for the DVD input? the mitsu tvs remember the settings for each individual input, so comparing it to HDTV (unless through the same input, which i doubt) isnt going to tell you anything. Did you calibratge all of the inputs, or just the HD one?

Contacted mitsu before sears, they said to get in touch with a service tech first and have them look at it, then call back if he cannot figure out the problem.

Well, I looked all over the cable box and through the setup menus and there is no indication of this switch whatsoever. I called the cable company and asked about it, and all they said they could do was send a tech out to look at it. Even they dont know where this switch is evidently.
