I need to replace my avr-4202 and I can't think of anything better than a brand new Denon X5200W! My all energy connoisseur speaker system will really sing in glorious Dolby Atmos!
thanks again Dan for your input! To be honest i have never experienced the whole 20hz and below phenomenon, that most of the guys on this forum are striving for... so with that said...the design i came up with will start to role off sooner at 25hz, but will have a more gradual slope! what...
ok i think, with your guys help, that i have narrowed it down to the AV15! My plan is to build two 10 cubic foot box's with two AV15 in each box slot vented to about 18hz with about 700 watts per sub! now if any one could give me some coments or thoughts about this set up i would...
from what i under stand, if you want to feel your bass vibrate your seats more, then you should build a sub floor. plywood over 2x4's should be good...as for riser...depends on how large your screen is, and how high your back seats need to be so you dont have a head in the way!
ok here are some more questions for the pro's in here... two av15s in a 10cubic foot vented box (minus driver volume and vent) with 600 watts each..... what would you tune the box to? 20, 15, 10??? and how do you figure the vent size...i am not looking for tube ports...but rectangle...
that would be cool...i have two 700watt rms amps sitting here colecting dust....i would like to run a av15 off of each amp.... i just was looking for some input on if the tempest would compare....every one has told me i have way to much power any way for the tempest...and i sounds like the...
Could any one give me a quick comparison of the tempest and the av15? telling the strengths of each sub, and the ideal enclosers for home theater? thank you
Hey all, sorry to post a questions that is so much like my last post...but i am haveing a difficult time deciding on my diy sub project... My question is..what would be a better configuration? two Maelstrom drivers sharing 1180watts, or four Maelstrom drivers sharing 1440watts.. this is...
like i said before i had for 10" car audio subs. that i was not happy with.... i am 100% home theater.....heavy bass music would only be used to show it off... size is no issue, but would prefer the lighter sono tube type......unless someone can give me a reason not too? as for low-Q...
Thank you very much mike, you are giving me the exact info i am looking for! so two Maelstrom in a 550L tube would be about 6feet tall and 24" diameter.... is that do able? one sub on either side? not much room for ports? and where you refering to two Maelstrom on one of my amps or one...
hey mike do you have msn? thanks for that info...when you say the tempests would go lower...how much would that be, and would i even be able to tell... from my impretion of how load these subs will go four 18 versus four15, would not make much difference... would i be correct in asuming...
4 tempests its is!!! two in each sono tube on either side of my 92" screen? that sound good to anyone? any predictions on how load and how low 4 of these subs will go with almost 1000watts?
So Michael, what would you recomend me doing with the two HS500 i have....i think the Maelstrom is a cool sub, so what kind of box size would you recomend considering i have that much power....and i am all about home theater, so who cares about music play back........ and i know that i may...
