Thanks everybody, that just about sums it up. I knew dolby digital debuted on one of the batman films. Anyone know of any knew formats soon to debut in theaters?
I have heard that Jurassic Park was the first film to use DTS and Batman was the first to use Dolby Digital. I also know that one of the star wars films was the first to use a form of dolby surround. Does anyone know any other films that were the first to use a new sound format, such as Dolby...
whatever happened to the Megadeth album that was supposed to come out? These release dates are freakin impossible to keep up with. Everything keeps getting delayed.
Its already out on dvd overseas and you can buy it on ebay. The dvd is region 0 so it plays anywhere. i got it really cheap from some guy in Canada. It even has DTS on the DVD which sounds pretty amazing during a couple scenes. I heard it might come out in an American DVD release. Anyone else...
I just bought mindcrime and it sounds amazing. Tate's voice finally gets the clarity it deserves and you can now clearly hear everything going on in the songs (music, sound effects and dialogue). Now if only they would put out a dvd-audio of it. How is the audio on the Operation Livecrime DVD...
I probably will do just that. Thanks for the follow-up Lance. By the way, i'm not doubting the mix on the album. It does sound amazing when it works smoothly on my dvd player. It is defintitely one of the best mixes out there and DTS deserves credit for that.
check out both queen's "A Night at the Opera" and "The Game" on dvd-a. Even if you aren't a big queen fan, you will be by the time you hear the surround mixes. I heard core didn't have that strong of a mix. "L.A. Woman" is really good as well as "Empire" by Queensryche, "Machine Head" by Deep...
hmmmmm...maybe the problem really is a compatibility issue with toshiba dvd players and the automatic changing lyric pages on the disc. Or maybe just the majority of people who read this thread have toshibas. anyone without a toshiba having this problem?
my sd-5700 has worked flawlessly since i bought it and i've never had a problem with a dvd-audio disc before. I will probably wait to see if other people are having problems with the disc before i return it. Even if it is my player, I don't think I will be replacing it because one disc doesn't...
what is dts entertainment's e-mail address, Lance? I think we should all make our voices heard on this one. ...and andrew, what kind of dvd player do you have?
I recently bought the new dvd-a release of Queen's "The Game" (rumored to be released on 4/29 but actually came out a month ago) and even though it has a great surround mix there appear to be a lot of problems with the disc. When listening to the 96/24 DTS soundtrack, the lyrics synch up with...
