    S video or component video?

OK, let me state what I have gathered. If your TV has enough video inputs, you should connect you video directly to the TV? Audio will always be connected to the receiver.

Thanks for the link. I never realized there was so much to learn about HT. Question. I have component video connection from my DVD player to my receiver. Should I also have a component video connection from the reciever to my TV? Thanks for any input!!

No sound when connecting fiber optic cable

No, optical cable is not bent or pinched. So, I need to go to the menu options of my receiver and set it to receive optical as input? I will give that a try and let you know how it turns out. Thank you!!

No sound when connecting fiber optic cable

I purchased the 'monster digital interlink lightspeed 200 ultra-high resolution fiber optic cable' to connect from my Panasonic DVD CP-67 to my Harmon Kardon AVR525 receiver. When I connect the cable (yes, I made sure that I am using the right outlets), I do not get any sound. Any ideas?
