I have messing around with Irfanview today. It seems to do what I need. thanks for the suggestions everybody. quick question. My parents have Vista on their laptop and I downloaded a bunch of pictures into it and within the folders it sorted them automatically into dated subfolders based on...
thanks for all the replies. Storage on my own PC or my camera is not a problem, so maybe like the above poster stated. I will shoot everything the highest quality, but down size them for emails. This way, I will always have the highest quality print capable copy for myself. I will mess...
I am opening these pictures using windows, not any program in particular. When I try to send a picture it is huge in the email is is like 3 megs, instead of 50k or so like they are when I use the lowest resolution. How does one make the pictures smaller after the fact?
Hello everybody. I just started getting into using a digital camera. I have a canon SD550. I figured I would transfer my pictures to my PC often so I wouldn't mind using the highest resolution possible even though it took up more space on the card. The problem is, when I click the pictures on my...
Checking this out this week, don't want to read any spoilers, but I saw a commercial today that said the movie had the most shocking ending of any horror movie ever where they showed some kind of sheet being taken off of someone's head but cut away before they showed who was under it. Don't need...
149? wow, that would be amazing. They would be giving it away. and yeah, I keep hearing october as well for the ps3 pre-orders for gamestop and EB. I am on two lists at fye's, number 14 and 27. Little hopes with such high numbers for the first month at least I think
Does anybody know of any stores that are accepting official pre-orders yet on the PS3? All I have seen is FYE, they are taking 50 dollar pre-orders. Gamestop and EB are yet to start. Anybody?
Hello, I have one HDMI input on my set. Does anybody know which source would benefit most from using the HDMI cable? DirecTV HD DVR box. or panasonic s77 720p dvd player. I would use component for the source that doesn't get the HDMI. thanks
I was checking them out as well, but the price was too high. I ended up getting a Sony 50' A10. I love it. DirecTV HD looks great on it. And the xbox360 is 720p, so no upconversion needed. You should check it out, see how you like it.
well, price is really what is keeping me away from plasma. Hey, being you are a gamer, do you notice any lag while playing games on DLP's or Lcos sets? I am considering the 50 inch samsung DLP, but heard of some having lag issues with certain games
I was at tweeters, and they don't carry the JVC sets, nor does harveys. The only place I have been that had them was BB and CC. They looked horrible there, but the only sets that look good there are the plasmas. Even the Samsung DLP's didn't look that great there, but they did look great at...
The 1080p set is the HL-R5078W http://product.samsung.com/cgi-bin/n...LR5078WX%2fXAA Question...will 720p feeds look better on a 720p set, or a 1080p set? I assume a 720p feed gets upconverted to 1080p on one of these newer sets. Is this the case? And what will look better?
I have read many threads over the last few weeks trying to figure out what set to buy. I was at Tweeters over the weekend and spent some time checking out many sets. I am really starting to lean towards the Samsung 50 inch DLP (HL-R5067W)...
Jay, is the 52 inch the same TV, just 4 inches smaller? HD-52G786 In your research, have you noticed these sets to be too bright in dark rooms? Have you noticed ambient light to have negative affects on these displays?
I don't know much about this stuff, but I know you should immediatly turn down the brightness and contrast. And turn off any special enhancements that may be on by default. Like I said, I don't know much, I'm sure some others will correct what I told you, lol
