Tim, The Tosh 36HF73 isn't on their website; in fact I dont think they have any CRT HDTVs online. It is in their store inventory, which often complements but doesnt duplicate the online offerings.
Tim, I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking of 36" CRTs. As soon as I can find someone who'll let me borrow their minivan or pickup truck (not so easy as I live in NYC) I'm going to Costco and picking up the Toshiba 36HF73 for $999. This monster 4:3 HDTV monitor's picture quality is supposed...
I'm looking at the Tosh 36HF73 and wondering if anyone out there has had any experience with it. There are hardly any online reviews at the usual websites... Paul, did you ever get it? How has it been? Thanks.
I look forward to reading your review, Matt. Interestingly, it seems that the c32v37 has a invar mask but not Faroudja line doubler while the c32v36 has the doubler but no invar shadow mask (according to zenith.com...)
I'm looking for a HDTV CRT monitor (no tuner as I have cable) at or below the $1k price point and I keep coming back to the Zenith C32V36. It seems to have all the feature I want (on paper at least) at a terrific price. Also considering the Sony KV32HS510 but is $400 more. Anyone out there...
Thanks, Daneel. At this point I'm pretty much committed to Marantz and certainly hope they are addressing any problems they are having with the 7300/7300OSE's. The people at Marantz in Illinois have been quite accommodating.
Thanks for the tip, Rick CH. Actually, I'm quite familiar with the hiss. Purchased an SR7200 last fall which began to hiss a few months later. After going around in circles with the retailer (hifi.com) and the local authorized service center, Marantz corporate agreed to replace it with a new...
I am trying to decide whether to spend an extra $300 to get a Marantz SR7300ose rather than an SR7300. Given a limited budget, is it worth spending that extra money, or would I better off putting them towards speakers, sub, etc? All things being equal, is the sound of the ose clearly superior to...
Back to the 7300, has anyone heard the 7300ose yet? How does it compare to the "base" 7300? Is it worth an extra $300 or would that money be better spent towards higher end speakers, etc?
