Yup, I have the 45tx as well and while $700 sounds high, it WAS a unit that retailed for nicely over $1000 only 2 years ago. Great neutrality, great amp, great looks. A winner all around.

Yup. I tested myself using a Kimber Illuminations $300 digital coax against a Monster THX reference $80 digital coax. Absolutely no difference whatsoever. And believe me, I have VERY acute hearing.

I may be wrong, but I believe this problem only ocurred among older 45tx units. I think they identified the problem and fixed it upon shipping out their next batch. I think you're going to have to contact their support and have this fixed.
