(JBL N24's or HTD Level 2) + Sony SA-WM40 Sub Opinions?

I wouldn't go with the N24II's as the sound from the N26II's is far better and not that much more money. You can get the N26II's (in canada) for about $75 - $100 more and the sound is leaps and bounds better than the N24II's. Go to your local BB or CC and give the two a listen. The N24II's would...

    New Pioneer Receivers?

If you want to go with Pioneer take a look at there Elite line. I find there entry level receivers ie. 411, 511, 711 and 811 to be lacking in both build quality and sound quality. The VSX-43tx from Pioneer is a nice receiver and sounds much better than the above mentioned receivers. It is...

Good Musical HT receiver for $800

I would recommend giving the new Marantz line of receivers a listen. I find that Paradigm and Marantz are an excellent match as Paradigm seems to be on the bright side and Marantz is on the warmer side of neutral. I am running a Marantz SR6200 receiver with a set of monitor series speakers from...

Has anyone had a chance to compare these two speakers? I listened to the LSI9's recently and am going to check out the paradigms in the near future and was wondering if anyone had an opinion. The speakers will be connecting to a Nad integrated amp. Thanks, Mike. P.S. Can anyone help...

Need (another) opinion about HT receiver....

You should be able to get a good deal on a Denon 2802 as it is being phased out. They can be bought for about $900 Canadian and would be a far better choice than the Kenwood or H/K (IMHO).

    Panasonic he70 vs. Yamaha 5540?

I sell both the Yamaha 5540 and the panasonic sahe70 where I work and can vouge that the Yammie is a better buy. Cleaner power and the yammie also runs alot cooler. Don't worry too much about the watts as it really isnt all that important, remember that for 3 more decibals of sound you must...
