Well if you guys are looking for some classic hockey, the 1976 Canada Cup series is coming out on DVD in the fall. It's expected to contain 6 of Canada's games and a bunch of other extras. This was Bobby Orr's last serious appearance on the ice, playing with Darryl Sittler, Bobby Hull, Guy...
Well The Alf Files is specials from the series, uncut. But VSC does not have the rights to anything beyond that, besides Project: Alf, the Alf movie of the week that was released in 1996, which is coming out on DVD in March.
I know this is a late answer, but they're the same thing. There's only one version. They're 3 one-hour TV specials so run time should be approx 130 min.
Thank you to Jason and Casey. Particularly for this:
Seriously, how would any of you feel if the company you worked for decided to make LESS money because a minority of their customers would prefer it that way. I'm sure you'd gladly take a pay cut for the sake of the fans.
I've been a vegetarian for about 10 years, and I recently ate a Big Mac. (long story) It was nasty! I definitely remember them tasting better. I mentioned it to my friend and she told me she thought they'd been getting worse also. Makes me feel better about what I've been "missing" out. But I...
With all due respect, I don't think we should force people to vote if they don't want to. I don't want uninformed people just randomly voting for whomever when they have no concept of the issues or barely even know who's running or what they stand for. Of course, I think that everyone *should*...
Yeah, but what I'm saying is that they both exist and they're different parties. The PQ is a provincial party - they only run for provincial government. The BQ is a federal party - they run for federal government. I know it's confusing, but that's Canadian politics for you. And the simple...
Rick Mercer rules.
I wish. I stood in line for an hour to vote due to disorganization on the part of Elections Canada staff. Sweating up a storm in a hot, airless old church. And the person I voted for didn't even win! I was shocked how many people stayed there and stuck out the line just to...
Not to get all arcane on you, but the PQ is actually a provincial party in Quebec, so you can't vote for them unless you live in that province. You're probably referring to the BQ (they're a federal party), and you can't vote for them if you don't live in Quebec either, because of the way our...
I can tell you from experience that one reason is it's not worth it, because margins are small enough that once you pay the studio their license you're not making enough money to justify the cost in time and everything else. The fewer units you expect to sell, the less you can amortize fixed...
Well then maybe they should just release best of collections and be done with it. Oh wait, then everyone would complain because it's not season sets. I guess studios just shouldn't release any TV shows because it's clearly too painful for consumers to deal with the resulting agony.
OK, I've worked for a major and now I work for an indie (albeit in Canada).
The market is completely different now, and so is the video industry. Everyone's thinking is completely different, and that includes consumers. Ten years ago we were all renting videotapes and buying laserdisks and...
What about basil? I say it like the name of the guy in Fawlty Towers. The other day I ordered basil tofu and the busybody in line behind me took it upon herself to tell me it should be "bay-sill" Thanks, lady, but I'll call my lunch whatever I want. I do have some strange pronunciation habits...
My dad's a pilot in the AF, so I always feel as if I'm disrespecting him if I get freaked out by turbulence. I know it's stupid, but one of my friends whose dad is also a pilot told me she feels the same way!
Tom, one of those extras is an easter egg on Hugh Dillon's bio page. It's a video clip from the commentary recording session of Hugh telling my boss to f**k off. I'm not kidding. Each of the bio pages has a clip from the recording session, but Hugh's is my favorite.
