***Official THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST Discussion Thread (including THE PASSION RECUT)

Maybe, but according to scholars, the people spoke Greek (not Latin -- with the exception of some elite). So the majority of the film should have had the characters speaking Greek. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4371832/

DVD Review HTF REVIEW: The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (Ext. Ed.) (merged w/"PQ and SQ" thread)

While the film is great and the added scenes are nice, the audio on this Extended Edition is a big dissapointment to me. Particularly the DTS track. While FOTR may have been "over cooked", this feels to be under cooked. They swung the pendulum too far the other way. After all, this is a...

    Subwoofer calibration

I know the theory and what you are "supposed" to do, but it seems like I can't bring myself to lower my sub's level so that it reads the same as my other speakers on the spl meter. I have my sub at between 6-7 db higher than my other speakers (using the SPL meter). This is both on my...

Matrix Reloaded--Official DVD thread. Post all comments here.

I was quoting another post re: the sentinels. I agree that sentinels were probably not involved there. I was just pointing out that that scene (as the other poster I quoted was saying) has probably the most pronounced lfe/bass in the movie.

DVD Review HTF REVIEW: The Matrix Reloaded (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED).

She plays a character called Persephone and she looks really hot in her tight dress that reveals cleavage. Look here: http://www.allmoviephoto.com/photo/2...paper_007.html

    The Kids Are Alright???

That's the way it was shown theatrically -- so it is the original aspect ratio of the film as done in the theaters. A Quick One was blown up to get rid of the flashing lights. The rest of the stuff you don't lose anything you didnt' already lose when the film was done originally. You also...

    The Kids Are Alright???

Colin: Did you notice the level difference between the DTS and Dolby 5.1 tracks too? I found it odd that the DTS seemed to be recorded at a lower level than the DD 5.1 track. Usually the DTS track is louder on any DVD.

    The Kids Are Alright???

I did an on-the-fly comparison of both DD 5.1 and DTS on several parts of The Kids Are Alright (I can just press "audio sel" on my DVD remote and fly through all the possible soundtracks on the DVD while it is playing). The parts I tested were "A Quick One" and "Baba O'Reilly". (Didn't have time...

    The Kids Are Alright???

Found this interview with the DVD's producer, where he, among other things, explains why certain extras were not used for this DVD: http://www.digitallyobsessed.com/sho...iew.php3?ID=53

    The Kids Are Alright???

There is no question that Entwistle is worth hearing separately. And is a valid tribute. But my point is, if they are mucking around in there anyway with isolated audio, how difficult would it have been to isolate audio on Pete and Keith too? Isolated Keith would be phenomenal too, even...

    The Kids Are Alright???

No doubt -- costs are always an issue. However, there are various outtakes that would not have cost anything more (or very little) -- such as the Kilburn concert (done specially for the original film, but they used the Shepperton footage instead). Plus other archival footage owned by the Who...
