FIFA World Cup - Germany 2006

"but I must admit that I didn't see much at all to object to in his refereeing today" He could of booked the Portugal players for diving every other minute. I was embarressed watching their antics. Before the World Cup Fifa said they were going to clamp down on this, pathetic. Nice to see...

FIFA World Cup - Germany 2006

Can you remember the position England were in when Eriksson took over? Just been beaten by Germany in the last game at Wembley. Howard Wilkinson who was working for the FA at the time wanted to write off qualifying for the World Cup as it was close to impossible to qualify. But Eriksson...

FIFA World Cup - Germany 2006

England came third in the 1990 world cup, not that it counts for anything. In the 1992 European Championships England didn't get out of the group stage. We needed a result against Sweden and got hammered by Thomas Brolin, I think it was 2 - 0 or 3 - 0. "It's sad to see how downright stupid...

FIFA World Cup - Germany 2006

Andrew Murray has changed his tune though. "It would have been great for England to win the World Cup but now I'm going to have to try and win here" Wasn't he quoted last week as saying he would be supporting whoever plays England? With regards the heat in South Africa, it will be...

FIFA World Cup - Germany 2006

No way did Rooney deserve a red card, he was falling when he stood on the player, it wasn't even a foul. As for the push on Ronaldo it was nothing. Did anyone see Ronaldo headbutt the back of Rooney's head? The Rooney sending off helped Englands cause, it was only after this that England...

FIFA World Cup - Germany 2006

The Argies had all the possession in the first half but failed to capitalise on it. They deserved their lead but were too negative as soon as they got it. The substitution of Riquelme was madness, absolute madness. One up against an attacking team like Germany is not enough to defend, they...

FIFA World Cup - Germany 2006

The refs are getting worse, they are spoiling this tournament. Holland v Portugal last night was a joke and the ref today for Italy v The Aussies was just as bad. Not to mention Graham Poll who booked the same player 3 times before sending him off. When each game is finished we should be...

FIFA World Cup - Germany 2006

I think we generated plenty of chances, Lampard should have had at least three, but unfortunately he seems to have forgotten how to score. I hope we go with this formation again on Saturday, no matter who we play.

Doctor Who 2005 - Season 2 (UK broadcast)

It had its moments but overall I was disappointed with it. I know its going to get better I just wished it was a stonger episode. It seems to have done well though with ratings. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/4914294.stm Next weeks episode looks like a good one though.

Forbes List of the Top 20 Greatest Individual Sporting Achievements

Cricket - Sir Garry Sobers - six consecutive sixes hit off an over, I don't think it has ever been done since. Also the first time he reached a hundred in a test match he went on to get 365 a world record which lasted for 36 years. Not only was he a great batsmen but he was also a great bowler...

London Subway blasts - are our HTF brethren ok ?

Previously the rules of engagement for the police where to shoot in someones chest after shouting a warning. This has now been changed to shoot people in the head, no warning. A warning could equal someone setting a bomb off. Obviously they cannot go round shooting people left right and centre...

    Stephen King on DVD extras

I've seen this interview on the Lawrence of Arabia DVD and Spielberg was saying how great it was to have a live commentary from David Lean. But he then refuses to do one himself or let anyone else do one on his films ie Lucas on the Indy films. Bit strange really

In the UK it was released in black and white but in the USA it was in colour. Don't have a clue with regards the aspect ratio. Great film though, wish there was a decent DVD to do it justice.
