I'm clearing out some equipement, including this Behringer Feedback Destroyer Pro BFD DSP1124P. As some of you know it is a 24-Bit Dual Engine Digital Feedback Suppressor / Parametric EQ, which I was using simly as a parametric EQ for my IB subs in my home theatre.
It’s in perfect working...
Good point… i checked, and unfortunately it's not including taxes.... but it does include games (which I believe are over 7$...). I thought I'd post an image front and back (which shows all the rules)... http://xs305.xs.to/xs305/06333/Block...card-front.jpg...
Ok guys… i thought i'd offer this up here... I got a Blockbuster card with the purchase of my Panasonic AE900U projector valid for 40 rentals (movies or games) between now and the 04/02/07... but the problem is my local Canadian Blockbuster won't accept it (valid in the US only). It has no...
You are probably right... but I guess i'm curious for the same reason you measure your T/S... to be able to more accurately model the enclosure. ;) Let us know whay you think... Rob
Looks good... I really like the folded slot port. If I were to build another box sub, I'd do the same. BTW... You built it entirely in you bedroom? That has got to get dust in all the wrong places... Rob
Page was down yesterday and gone today... hmmm... maybe they were preliminary? Even though we have no driver specs, I do admit that those prices do they seem pretty high given the going market. Since they've mostly sold direct, MSRP has been their "Retail" price but perhaps they are also...
Inaccuracies/variances in published T/S parameters has always bothered me... and I have thought about building myself a testing rig. I just noticed that PartsExpress sells a pre-packaged kit... not cheap but interesting all the same. Has anyone tried it? I must not have been paying...
Far from being an expert myself... veneering isn't as easy a job as many would be lead to believe. I think most methods have the positive and negative points.
After having had several people I know running into problems (bubbling from water evaporation) with the iron on tightbond method... I...
Sounds a lot more like room modes than subwoofer response. A subwoofer may have a peak at one frequency or it may roll-off early, but it's highly unlikely that it'll have peaks at all different frequencies. On the other hand, that description matches exactly what you'd expect from room...
Does anyone here use DIY drivers in their cars as component sets? Doesn't matter if they are Adire, SEAS, Vifa... just curious as I've tossed the idea around in my head. There are brands like Dynaudio and Focal who offer kits at premium prices... Rob
That was my experience as well... I initially overfilled (stuffed) my ported AV15 sub and it threw my tuning way off. My impedance testing also showed that the stuffing made the enclosure behave as a larger one (Vb), and lowered my effective tuning. Live and learn... Rob
You are correct if you want an even finish... since birch is a wood which varies quite a bit in porosity. To even it out, I'd recommend a light sanding first to open the pours and even up what you got before adding more stain. Leaving the stain on longer (ie; not wiping it till dry) will...
Adire is generally cheaper for Canadians... because of CSS as you'll save a lot in shipping, PST, brokerage, etc... They occasionally offer 1$ shipping within Canada. That said, I still opted for the Stryke / Lambda IB15 being offered for four @ 396$US. I've dealt with Stryke in the past and...
I've never heard the Visaton drivers either... but there is a local distributor in Canada, which is www.solen.ca (the caps guys). When compare to Vifa, Scan Speak, Seas... the prices in Canadian dollars do seem a little high since they are somewhat less known here. Perhaps it's a different...
With a 4db boost at 25Hz... have you considered a sealed enclosure? It would provide you with a flatter response... and reduce your problem with bottoming. It will actually put the boost to good use... ;) The shiva is excursion limited in most vented enclosures... which will only be worsened...
When would 4ohm versions be ready for shipping? What would the power handling (Pe) be? I'm assuming the Xmax of 15.5mm is one way? 4 drivers for 400$ is very tempting... I'm guessing that the shipping price would be about the same for each as it was for the AV-15? Thanks... Rob
Thanks for the suggestions. I haven't tried the estate sales or audio classics. Like everyone... i dream of finding a set at a garage sale for 200$ BUT... it'll probably never happen so i'm willing to pay Ebay prices if the distance is right. ;) At Audio Classics, if prices are really for...

TAG seem to have been bought out by International Audio Group (IAG) part of Quad, Wharfedale and Wharfedale Pro. The room demo pages featuring ETF5 no longer seem to be on their new website. http://www.tagmclarenaudio.com I got the link from these forums. There used to be a downloadable...

Ummm... but if i recall correctly, you can get a "NON-logorithmic" graph of the frequency response between 20 and 200hz using the low frequency add on in a resolution greater than 1Hz. It'll be more than enough to set up your EQ. It is covered in the demo room as well as on TAG (?) room eq web...

I ended up purchasing them the Toshiba 51HX83 as it was the best picture I saw in that price range. They seem to like it, and does very well with DVDs and the better quality digital stations but they do not have HDTV. The poor quality broadcasts just look poor. No problems with reliability...
