That begs the question ... why would you want to calibrate your speakers to 75/85 db; RL 0 if that is not the volume you plan to listen at? I think most people, in home theater environments, would listen at some db level lower than RL 0, correct?

Interesting comments. So, using the internal tones, I calibrated all my speakers to 75db at RL (Master Volume at 0). I also calibrated my LFE to 77db. When I switched to Avia II to compare; at RL, my 5 channels all increased to around 81db +/- 1db. And, my LFE dropped a to around 75/76db...

Oh, I should mention that I'm using my PS3 for decoding 5.1 and sending the output format to my receiver in PCM. Not sure if that matters ...

Recently moved and can't find my PS3 box/documentation. PS3 is already hooked-up, mounted, etc making it very difficult to look at the back and/or bottom of the unit for the model #. Is there a way to see what model # PS3 I have via the software menu options?

By the way, my TV is Sony model KDL-46XBR6. Maybe there is some button that will show me what signal is currently being received? I know there is a signal diagnostic, but I'm not sure of that is what I'm looking for. Anyway ... thoughts/comments???

My Sony XBR is capable of 1080p. But, how do I know for sure what signal is reaching it? With my receiver, it will tell me I'm getting DD or TrueHD, for example. But with video, how do you know what is being actually driven to your TV (via HDMI, of course)?
