Well, I bit the bullet and bought a used X1 from a seller here on the forum. The deal was just too good to pass up, so I took the "rainbow risk". Low and behold, I haven't noticed them yet on LOTR or the Matrix, so I'm pleased. Anyways, there is a company called data projections that is an X1...
Yeah - my coworker is the one who found and discovered the monster flake. To top it all off (no - not with milk), he found a freak apple jack this morning too. The best part is, the local Nuvo magazine in Indy called him this morning for an interview. ROTFLMAO!
I do 15% across the board for waiters/bartenders/etc. The total goes up or down from there if there was exceptional or poor service. If I'm really honked off due to bad service, I leave a nickel/penny and a note so that the waiter/waitress KNOWS they failed.
If you DO have grub problems, use dylox 6.2G. My neighbor is a lawncare consultant (does work for the Indianapolis Colts' turf), and told me to use this when my entire lawn became infested. Those suckers were gone in a week.
May I suggest the Panasonic L-200U as a good entry level PJ as well? There is a great thread going on that one right now. Just bought an X1 here and am feverishly awaiting its arrival...
I've seen the pre-cut wood circles at HD and Lowe's as well up to 24". Price was ~$10 or so I think.... I used a Rotozip with circle cutting attachment for mine. Worked out pretty well, but I would have preferred the more powerful router for a cleaner cut all the way around. Anyways - it was...
Well, I still haven't totally ruled out the X1. I'm also looking at the Panasonic L200U, Panasonic 300U and Sanyo Z1. Someone once suggested I might find a used CRT projector, but sheesh - those things are HUGE and HEAVY!!!
Sorry for the slow response... Nope - haven't purchased the fp yet. I've had to travel a lot more lately, so my basement project timeline has been pushed back. And, I've determined not to buy the projector until a later point in the project when I can actually install and use it. That way, I...
Yeah - I haven't pulled the trigger yet on an FP. My room isn't ready yet for it, so I've put it off. I was 100% sold on the X1, but now that L200U + screen deal is looking pretty sweet. And, I think I may have problems with rainbows.... :frowning: Anyways, still sold on the FP - just a...
Bought my parents an Apex 19" a month ago. The TV's audio was screwed up (bad/blown speaker or something) so they exchanged it for another larger Apex model. They love it! So if you're using the built-in speaker, make sure it works :)
Bought the Tempest driver today. Still putting design details together. I'm going to buy the sonotube as well this week if the rain holds off. I think purchasing the 2 flared ports may push me over the edge slightly on my budget. Plus, I'm going to have a difficult enough time making one...
Thanks for all the great info! Sounds like bigger is better - even for ports! :) I did some quick calculations and discovered that I can't go over a 6" port without the port needing to be longer than the sonotube. So, it sounds like a 6" tube would be my next size of choice. I really...
Well, I'm not 100% firm yet on the aesthetics. I'm thinking that it will become a table-like sonotube with a nice looking round wood top stained the same as my trim in the HT. It will have a matching stand and legs as well. I'm thinking of using material that matches the screen's background...
I've decided to embark on a DIY sonotube sub project using the Tempest driver. Before I pull the trigger and purchase all the components, I'd like to get everyone's input on my design. Thanks! To view my project's status, visit my DIY subwoofer page. Tempest Sonotube Subwoofer...
I'm looking for a set of used or new surrounds to match the Paradigm Monitor setup I'm assembling. Especially interested in Paradigm Mini Monitors or Monitor 3's. I live in Indianapolis, IN. Email me at [email protected] or PM me. Thanks, Nathan
