Anyone else notice that one of the Dharma skeletons in the pit had a very clear bullet hole in the left temple? From what the audience was shown, they were all gassed to death. Seems like a strange thing to throw in without a reason, and as we know, on Lost there is always a reason.
Did anybody else read the news from earlier this year regarding Disney's release of Oscar nominated shorts on iTunes that included the report that they would be releasing a DVD showcasing all nominated shorts before the end of the year? http://www.cartoonbrew.com/archives/2006_01.html#001587...
Mark, I don't see how Carlo's position is 'Anti-Star Wars' at all. It is simply saying that we will not endorse a product that is inferior in presentation. This is the home theater forum afterall. If anywhere, I thought this was the place to support the best presentation possible, not what...
Does anyone else remember reading a few months ago that Disney was planning on releasing a DVD set of all their Oscar nominated shorts sometime this summer? As someone who loves the Treasures series, but missed Silly Symphonies, I would love a chance to pick up The Ugly Duckling, Three Pigs...
I would be very interested in this set. I usually pick up at least 2 Treasures from each set, but I did not this time b/c of the reports of poor quality. I was really looking forward to having the Rarities set for Lambert, so this would be a welcome second chance for Disney to get it right.
I would assume that eventually, though not immediately, these new version will be sold individually? I just can't bring myself to buy Rocky V (it never happened I tell ya), and I already own the original. I will hold out until II, III, and IV from this set can be had separately... even...
Random question... over the years I've had it programmed into my head that at the end of the Looney Tunes cartoons when the music starts playing that Porky pops out of the center circle and says "Be-deep, be-deep, be-deep...That's all folks." I've watched all 48 cartoons on Vol. 1 and that...
Hi WillG. You're not alone on this. It is a disturbing trend. Example: Normally, I would probably make a blind buy on Master & Commander. However, I would not be willing to pay the "normal" price for a bare bones disk on such a purchase knowing about the great extras on the special edition...
Thanks for the advice. I decided to go ahead and pick up a copy, but have run into a snag. Having both Best Buy & Circuit City gift cards at my disposal, I checked both local outlets. No luck. Yesterday, I found it at circuitcity.com & placed an order, but today... the dreaded backorder notice...
Caught this classic on cable early Saturday morning and am now seriously considering picking up this DVD. I see that a restored version was issued in early 2000 as part of the Columbia Classics collection. Considering that it's almost 3 years old, I'm wondering if anyone has heard if this will...
