I just looked that up in the manual and I bet a million bucks that this is the issue. Thank you. I don't know if I ever even noticed that. I never messed with any of those knobs. My wife is 32 weeks. The twins could come tomorrow or we are hoping we'll see them in 4 weeks. Who knows. Scary...
What would be the possible reasons for the Bass, Treble, and Balance knobs not functioning on a receiver. I have recently sold my unit and the person who purchased it mentioned that the knobs don't do anything. I mentioned to him to perform a system reset to clear all input and speaker...
I purchased this unit last year. It is is great shape. I was planning on upgrading my speakers shortly after I purchased the unit until I found out I am having twins! Needless to say, the speakers will not be coming any time soon therefore I don't need a heavy-duty receiver to power them. My...
I've already got the MX-500 and I don't think I need another $100+ remote. Plus I want the pool remote to be cheap and easily replaceable (sun damage and drop ins). I'm going to start with the IR Repeaters from Radio shack and hope they work. Are there any cheap RF universal remotes?
I have seen both of their products. My main question is whether or not the remote will reach the IR repeater which will be in the window sill. I guess I'm heading to Radio Shack, buy the thing and see if it works for me. I hope it does. Thanks for the help. Stream
I've got my equipment inside my family room which is right next to my pool. I have my pool speakers mounted on the patio overhang and wired directly to my receiver in the entertainment center. My question is how can I have a cheap universal remote out by the pool change radio stations and/or...
I've got the Archos Jukebox Recorder 20 and I am very happy with it. The default firmware can be upgraded providing many more features and improved sound quality. It is also USB 2.0 compatable. I am able to hook this player to my car and home stereo via RCA cable. The sound quality is excellent.
When my house was being built, I consulted this forum to give me some ideas of what to pre-wire before the drywall went up. In heeding the advice, I ran some RG6 from the location of the entertainment center to the corner for a subwoofer connection. What do I do now? How do I terminate this...
I am looking to upgrade my fronts and center to either the Studio 40s or 60s with the CC. My receiver is rated at 110x5. Is this enough power to drive the Studio 60s? I will eventually want a separate amp to drive the 5 channels but its too expensive at this point. Thanks

Forget 9.1...I want 7.9!!! 9 subs would be great... but seriously...how many channels are necessary? I can understand 7 but 9? Where does the 9 go..does the front stage get an additional 2 spkrs? Wouldn't that cause some bad imaging? If not the front, then you have 6 rear speakers? Isn't that...
1. Will the yellow rca video connection also have to be used? ( i havn't used s video cables yet so I'm not sure if they have the yellow rca connect as well) Or do the svideo from the dvd to the tv direct and the audio through the reciever? --> You don't need to use the yellow video RCA...
How do I get good FM reception from my Sony Receiver? It has a 75ohm input (screw in type). I don't want to put the unsightly T cables on the wall. I have an older (early 90's) Terk model FM antenna/booster but that thing stinks. I have never been impressed with the reception of that unit...
