I'm quite excited about The Sun Also Rises. I thought it was caught in some sort of limbo and wouldn't be released? But I guess that's been taken care of! Good on The Snows of Kilimanjaro too...Double Ava Gardner!
Thank you, Mr. Harris, for your exhaustive information. I've avoided all of the prior releases for reasons you mentioned, but now sounds like the time. I thank you, but my wallet doesn't. ha!
Excellent! For once, my procrastination has paid off. I have been thisclose so many times on Baby Jane and Jezebel. I considered Jezebel just this past weekend. Great news.
I would like to see The Osbournes completed as well. The Osbournes 2½ came out in 5/04. I think there were 4 seasons. Not sure how 2½ counts in all of that. I'm also nervous about Carnivàle since it was cancelled after Season 2. Season 1 hit DVD 12/04.
Just tested a bunch of mine...all OK. Vertigo (original cover) 2519-20183-2 Psycho (original cover) 2519-20251-2 The Jackal 2519-20262-2 Small Soldiers 6706-84161-2 Apollo 13 2519-20153-2 Contact 85391-50412 (WAMO found in inner ring) :emoji_thumbsup:
I recently watched a few of my old favorite Jill Clayburgh films (Starting Over, First Monday in October, I'm Dancing as Fast as I Can). I can't wait for An Unmarried Woman.
Thank you, Mr. Harris, for your efforts to restore Vertigo. It was the first disc from The Masterpiece Collection that I viewed. Your restoration of Vertigo, Rear Window, and others are much appreciated by this viewer.
Yep, I've gone through each disc's Setup menu and I don't have the "Audio Options" selection on any of them. Using PowerDVD, I also do not see the 2.0 track in PowerDVD's audio menu. I don't need the 2.0 track, but it's just strange to see 2 different versions of a release on release day...
I've been in communication with some people who have an Audio Options option on their Setup screens for Lost Season 1. They are able to select a DD 2.0 track. Even with PowerDVD, I do not see a DD 2.0 track...it isn't available through PowerDVD and there is no menu from which to select it...
It's cool to see a lot of interest in this film. I saw it multiple times in the theater and have always loved it. I would double dip for an anamorphic SE any day!
I ordered the Cole Porter set from Deep Discount on 6/20. They were out of stock and I just received it today. I have the original KMK. So (1) I'll be starting the process now to get the replacement disc and (2) folks should know that the original discs are still out there...even when an...
It was originally released in either a CD-style jewel case or a keep case, not a snapper. I ordered it online and got the jewel case. I later picked up the keep case version in a store and sold the jewel case. The disc content was the same on either: WS on one side and P&S on the other...

Christ, we meet again! I don't think you're alone in not liking the '02 version, but it's cool to see this thread where there are some folks that do. I thought I was one of the few! Glad to hear you enjoyed '72. :D
I like it too. Unfortunately, in the Best three Worst three Need three thread, somebody tagged Solaris as one of my three worst! The '72 version is on my wish list.
