sealed Metal Gear 2 for PS2 F/T for Xbox games

It is the original version, it was bought about 2 months after the game was released, and never even opened, but at this point there is no hope of returning it. If you have x-box games I may be willing to pay extra cash in addition to the game(s). thanks Daniel

sealed Metal Gear 2 for PS2 F/T for Xbox games

I have a sealed non-greatest hits copy of Metal Gear Solid 2 for playstation 2. The problem is I don't have a PS2, but I have a X-Box, so I would like to trade this game for the X-box version or for other X-Box games. I will also consider trades for DVDs as well. I haven't traded here but I...

Anyone got the new Centrino laptops?

www.anandtech.com did a comprehensive review of the centrino tech and of some of the early adoptors. In short, they concluded that the centrino was the best thing to ever happen to mobile computing, and I would agree (after spending some time with the Dell centrino notebook). The benchmarks put...

    Soundblaster 5.1 Live MP3 soundcard ???

Joe is right, that is the way to get the digital to work, BUT..... There is a problem with many of the earlier SB live!s, their digital out is out of spec, and so most recievers cannot make sense of the digital out. I wanted to do the same thing, but when I used a coax cable with a miniplug...

Quieting down my PC, part II

For the quietest and coolest of AMD systems these days the best choice is the SLK-900 (the newest version of the SLK-800). It is the Heatsink of choice for overclockers (like me :)), but also for people who want a quiet system, as it takes 92mm fans, which are quieter (as explained above). The...

Wireless Game Controller for my PC - What are some good ones? (or ones to avoid?)

Logitech has a very nice one that you can get pretty cheap off of overstock.com (or at least you could.....). And the contoller is very nice, with good range.

DVC12 and parts express 250 watt plate amp

I think that the best way to explain Q is that a lower Q system sounds more immeidiate and "tighter". This has to do with the lower group delay of a low-Q system. A sealed system has a lower Q generally, and thus all of the advatages. The disadvantage is that a low Q system is bigger and "booms"...

    New Sony Flaship Receiver.

I definately agree with victor, if you have $7000 for electronics you could be doing a huge disservice to yourself if you don't get (or at least seriously consider) seperates

    WTB: INEXPENSIVE turntable cartridge.

I tried to look into that, but the cartridge is cracked and a new stylus cannot be fitted to it. thanks for the advice Stan: how much would shipping be for that? I just may get one of those, thanks for the offer.

DVC12 and parts express 250 watt plate amp

for music only you may want to consider a sealed system instead, as it would be a bit "tighter" and with that combo would boom enough for any music. the major drawback is you may lose some extention, but that matters less for music. just some food for thought :)

Newbie Looking for Ideas for Starting point for MAX $10,000 setup

yes, I think that used is OK. Check out www.audiogon.com there are a lot of high end pieces there, and most of the guys that are selling are very good to their stuff. But only buy it if you know you like it, not just because its a good deal.

    WTB: INEXPENSIVE turntable cartridge.

Ok, here's my story. I resently got into classic rock and folk type music, and I just discovered my Dad's old record collection and his Yamaha P-550 turntable (I have no idea if this turntable is any good or not, and I don't really care). I was overjoyed, as the records are the same as some of...

How would this bad boy do as an HTPC?

the 9700 cannot be had for under 200, but the 9500 pro can be and for a HTPC you will not notice a difference. Oh, and I think that 256megs of ram would be plenty and 128 would be OK, but what you may want is a bigger HDD to store stuff. yes the 8500 is more than enough with the processor you...

    JBL S312 and HK 525?

well, I have S310s and I run them with a yamaha RX-V1000, which has a reputation for being bright. Personally i love this combo, but I like my music very clear and accurate, which i think this setup gives me, but some may find that what i find clear to be too bright, it comes down to taste. as...

    Speakers on a budget

I use a Yamaha RX-V1000 and I like the sound (i know, everyone thinks yamaha is bright) if you go to jandr.com they have some really good deals on the yamaha HTR series, which is pretty much the same thing, I would at least check that out.

    Speakers on a budget

I LOVE my JBL setup, but would consider stepping up to the S38 for the fronts if your budget would allow, as they just sound a bit fuller and would be better if you want to play 2ch music with your system. either way you will be happy. if you don't believe me, check out the review of the s38...

need recommendation for 1/8" stereo to rca analog cable...

Personally, I run my computer to an old reciever with a rat shack 1/8" stereo to stereo RCA jacks and am completely happy with the sound, but then this is not a primary music/movie system and the sound is plenty good enough for games and mp3s, but it sounds like you are looking for something a...

    Serious S/PDIF output problems...

this may work: disable the onboard sound with jumpers on the motherboard and unistall all of the drivers having anything to do with the sound. then re-enable the sound with the jumpers and windows will re-install all of the drivers for you (if you have XP) or re-install the drivers manually...
