If you have been the happy owner of JBL speakers for 7 years why not look at the new studio series JBLs. Inexpensive (online) and sound great to me at least.

Take a look at toshiba's cinema series 57" 57HDX82 I like mine.

Your sub is one of the models plagued with amp failure. Chances are that is what happened to your sub. Borrow a sub to check the incomming signal. If it doesn't work replace the amp. I understand Parts Express sells amps that would suit your application. Best of luck

If 6500 K is an important factor(which I am not convinced)any dimming done will drascically change not ony the color temp but also the color rendering index. The only lamps available that have a CRI rating of 100 (which is best) are incandescent which are not available in 6500 K.

The 65" Toshiba is made to be delivered in two pieces. I am sure with a little knowhow you would be able to split it in half move it and reassmble it. I am having the men who delivered my 57" move it for me after I saw how much fun they had bringing it up two flights of stairs.

You could try to leave your towers set as large. This is what I do and I like the results for music and movies. I also leave my sub crossover set to 50hz and leave the volume down on the sub. This way the sub pretty much dissapears while i play music. Oh yes JBL s310s and PB12

I have the s center s-310s and pb12 in front. I was amazed at how well they image. They also are very efficient. I would highly recommend them.
