Update: I got in touch with Tom from SVS via e-mail, and he had me run through some tests on my subwoofer to determine whether it was an amp or woofer problem. It turned out to be my amp, so they said they would send me a new one, along with instructions on how to install it. This was on...

They helped me diagnose the problem as the Amp, and they're sending a new one out Monday. Now if I can just install it without botching the operation, I'll be set. A big thanks to SVS for their service. I'll report back next week when the repair is (hopefully) completed. Until then, I'll just...

I think I'm just going to stick with the Phillips digital coaxial cable. Like I said, I bought it back when I had a DVD player that could use it. Neither of my XP30's have a digital coax output, and my X-Box doesn't either. I might as well put it to use on my subwoofer.

I've now tried the digital coaxial (Philips) and the audio interconnect (Monster) cables. I've notice no difference with either. I also didn't notice any difference compared to a Acoustic Research subwoofer cable, either.

UPS may not ship to PO boxes, but they will ship to Mailbox Etc. (and other similar boxes). If you set up a mailbox at your local UPS Store, for example, they'll accept US Mail, FedEx, and UPS all at one box. It's very useful.

You might want to look for a 40" Sony; it's a 4:3 TV, but its widescreen mode is the same size as a 34" 16:9 TV. You can find the old model ( KV40XBR700 ) cheap, and you might be able to find the new model ( KV40XBR800 ) for a good price. The 800 has a DVI input, while the 700 doesn't.

Both my TVs are 4:3. 99% of my TV usage is regular cable television, so a 16:9 really wasn't something I wanted.
