Thanks Tim interesting reading, giving serious thought to a couple of TL Shiva's for theatre room. I just know the wife will be understanding.

I haven't tried a TL either but if she who must be obeyed agrees maybe another Sub! Currently running a 142 litre EBS along with sealed 88 litre shivas, getting heaps of grunt across the board now. How do you find the response with the TL ?

Kevin Follow Dan's link and you can't go wrong ! My first DIY sub was the sealed 88litre Shiva and I highly recommend this Sub for music, and from a building point of view it was relatively straight forward to construct .

Need advice I've just finished Adire Shiva 142litre EBS tuned to (hopefully) about 18hz with 20" 4.5" non flared port. Im powering this with a 350W plate amp brought from Jaycar here in OZ it states that it has a boost of 6db @ 35Hz, what affect will this have on sound etc ? Can it be disabled...

The Amp doesn't have to be attached to the cabinet you could if you want for simplicity and astetics make a seperate box for the amp and just run the outputs from the amp to where ever your sub is located Stuart

Questions questions questions ! Looks like it all a bit hard to get bends for the 4.25 " port so as to give it suficient clearance . Would I be right in assuming that if I use a 4" PVC pipe for the port that the lenght for the Adire EBS alignment would be the twelve inchs as recomended from...

Am I right in assuming that given that there is not enough room in the box to have that lenght of port and still leave sufficient clearance that I can put a series of bends in the port ? Thanks

Chris would it matter that the top of the port will only be about an inch from the top of the box ?
