It looks like the Mac Mini will output 1920x1200 through DVI. It seems alot of people are running a dvi-dvi connection from their Mac Mini to the Westinghouse 1080P monitors with great results... http://www.123macmini.com/gallery/al.../050506142.jpg
I am going to be staying at a buddies house while I am selling my house and looking for another. Not much room in the bedroom so I am thinking of buying a 37" or 42" flat panel LCD for HD cable, xbox 360, and as a computer monitor with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse. It might be the only monitor...
This tv doesn't accept a 1080p signal correct? Does it do a good job of upconverting the signal? Would I be better off just getting a tv that is not 1080p or is the processing good enough in this Toshiba to make it worth it? Thanks, Josh
Since this is a special model number, which model on the toshiba website would it be closest to? Do you think I should take a look at any of the other tv's I listed or does the 1080p make this one in a league of its own? Also what are the downsides of a DLP such as this?
I saw this at my local costco for ~$2700, seems like a really good price for a 1080p set with a stand and costco warranty compared to best buy or circuit city. What you guys think? What does this compare to on the Toshiba site? I am also looking at the following TV's at Costco: Mitsu WD62526...
It's a 42" EDTV from Costco. This is an intemediate step until I move and can go rear projection, then this tv will be put in the living room or bedroom. Also the actual viewing distance will be closer to 14' once you add in the width of the couch and entertainment center. Should be a good...
I have a 18'x25' living room with my tv on the front of the 18' wall and my couch all the way against the back. 50%DVR / 30%DVD / 20%XBOX, ~$5000 is my total budget and I have it broken down to: Ascend CMT-340 as mains Ascend CMT-340 as surrounds Ascend CMT-340c as center = $1300 SVS...
Yep, I am aware of the 30 day rule, not really a problem. I will also check into the JVC's listed. Once she starts I will have here pull the price on a bunch and see if there are any un-passable deals. I am always a sucker for a good deal. -Josh
Well front projection would be pretty much ruled out because this is our main living room with no light control and it will be used as standard TV 75% of the time. Thanks, Josh
Well I hate to be the first to respond to my own thread but I went to Bestbuy this weekend and found out my GF cost would be ~$2100 on the Panasonic 42" plasma. It looked great, however it might be too small for my 12' viewing distance. While I was there I couldn't help but I the Sony...
Hello all, I just found out my GF got a part time job at a new Best Buy store for the holidays. I have been wanting to upgrade my 27" Akai :rolleyes:for a while and now is the perfect chance. I am looking for suggestions of TV's they carry. I would really like to get a 42" plasma but I am...
yes I emailed Ron and he was very helpful, I just wanted to see what everyone here thought. I like watching movies at reference levels or slightly below, however when I watch them with my GF, it is quite a bit lower:thumbsdown: .
I have a 15' x 20' living room and this is my layout. `````````````20' __________________[......]___ |........F...TV....F..................| |........................................| |........................................| |........................................|...
Bump, almost worked out a deal with a guy in Texas, but shipping would be too much. So it is still for sale. Same Price but now includes a Toshiba DVD player in perfect shape. Was $100 new last year. Would prefer local sale. Thanks Josh
I am in the same price range and considering... PSB Image Series B-Stock 5T Fronts ~$500 2B Surrounds ~$250 9C Center ~$250 from http://www.yawaonline.com/imageseries.html I will be getting the SVS PB2, but you can get a cheaper SVS or HSU sub for ~500 and be right at your budget...
John, Honestly the S38 all around are the front runner right now. For $600 and all five speakers just sounds like an unbelievable value. S38's front and back with the S-center. On the other hand if I am "missing" out on much better sound I would spend upwars of $1500. Hmmm, maybe I will...
Hmmm, where can I find those? online? Didn't see them on that website. You see there are a couple of problems: 1) I have to know I am getting a good deal, bang for buck if you will. 2) My budget is pretty open, with literally hundreds of options. Is the Dahlquist QX9 for ~$350 per...
How would the Dahlquist QX9 compare to the Klipsch RF-15? Or for that matter a what price range would I have to look at to meet the QX9? Josh "so confused" in Ohio!
Hello all, I am really starting to get confused here. At first I was set on the axiom set up as follows: M22 Fronts QS8 Surrounds VP150 Center ~$1200 Then I got a line on some Dahlquist's for the following setup QX9 Fronts QX20R Surrounds QX50C Center ~1050 OR QX9...
