    iPod or Nomad Zen?

One more thing with the iPod. Don't use MusicMatch. The best program on the market right now it Media Center 9. http://www.musicex.com/mediacenter/ This is an All-in-One program that's top notch. It works better then any other jukebox program I've ever used. Also it's the fastest syncing...

    Concert cliches

Just a quick post for the fogger. I used to working on a lighting crew. The fogger is used for lighting effects more then anything else. This isn't to say that some bands over do it. But, If there is no fog on the stage the lighting looks like crap.

    iPod or Nomad Zen?

Good choice. The only regret I have is that I didn't get the 30GB version, I have the 15GB version. It has changed the way I listen to music. 2,500+ songs on a device the size of a deck of cards. The iPod is hands down the best MP3 player on the market and is worth every penny I spent on it.

Dark red walls bad for viewing?

Also with a dark color I always put on one more coat then I think I should. I can't tell you how much better it looks. Remember painting takes time, but if you do it right you will have a great finshed product.

Dark red walls bad for viewing?

I have just always done a quick sanding to knock down off the little particles. This leave a nice finsh. You don't want to spend a whole lot of time just go over it once. I use 120grit when I do this.

Dark red walls bad for viewing?

Mike nice post. I couldn't have said it better myself. I will add a few points though. 1.) Prep is key. I can't tell you how critical this step is. Sand before your first coat and sand in between coats. 2.) Make sure you have enough paint on the roller. So many people try and strech it...

Dark red walls bad for viewing?

I come from a painting background and couldn't agree more that a large part of painting is how you do it. I have seen people try and paint with no paint on there roller or brush, funny to watch. That's why my wife and I are the only people, outside of pro's, that I let paint in my home. I have...

Cheap alternative to an expensive A/V rack

You can always use cinder(sp) blocks and 2 x 8's. This is my setup right now. .20 for each block and about 4 bucks for an 8 foot 2x8. Whole setup under $30. I will post a pic when I get home.

Dark red walls bad for viewing?

I just thought I would chime in. Benjamin Moore is my favorite paint. My wife didn't think there was a diff in paint so she made me get a can of Behr to paint our bathroom. It sucked it took 3 coats of white just to cover an already white wall. Needless to say I stick with Benjamin Moore now...

The best place for batteries that I have found is Link Removed They sell some of the best NiMH batteries I have found. There Powerex 1800 are the best you can buy. Just remember that NiMH batteries have a high discharge rate when not being used. If you charge them you only get about a month...
