I got one much like the one Manny got, only I got mine at Best Buy for $50. It has 1480 joules, but the rest looks like the one he got. I know I could have gotten it cheaper on the net somewhere, but I needed it today. Bill Kane...thanks again for all of your advice on this!
Actually, it was floor sample, but they had marked the price down to $109 on the remaining ones before I got the last one at $99. The $109 was down from $129. The Sears website, though, still has it at $169...or they had it there the day I got mine.
Thanks, again, Bill. I think I should go with the Max series. We have enough storms here for sure. I know a few people that have had things fried lately, albeit things like microwaves and smaller appliances. For $40-50 more, it's worth the risk.
