I own the Rotel RMB 1095 and I think it's more of a bright/clear/detailed amp than a warmer amplifier. It may be my Klipsch RF-7's showing the true sound of the Rotel. But I say it's up to you, listen to both and see what you like, those speakers are going need some power with that sensitivity...

I've enjoyed my Elite VSX 53TX, pretty much the same thing as the 1014, so I say go for it, Pioneer receivers are awesome!

I went and ran my cable (TV) through my Monster HTS 2600, and the hum is COMPLETLEY GONE! I just saw someone say that fixed theirs that way so I thought what the hell. I used to have the cable go through the Monster, but when we moved into the new house I didn't hook it back up that way. Well...

No amp before the Rotel, just the Pioneer Elite VSX-53TX receiver. The difference between a receiver and an amp is astonishing, the amount of detail, soundstage, being in the center of the action so to speak is amazing!!! Receivers just don't have what it takes to do what a good amp can do...

I will chime in here, I just made this decision. I currently run a Pioneer Elite VSX53TX and added a Rotel RMB 1095 to my setup, and let me tell you this, that Rotel made my system 100x's better for ALL viewing, movies and music. There's SO much more detail, soundstage, fullness, clarity, etc...

Colin - It would be better if I could have it right next to the TV, but it sounds flawless, my receiver auto detects the distance, etc, so it works ok. My cables aren't long enough to move it to the other side, and then the rack would be taller than the speaker, and things woulnd't look as nice...

Thanks for the feedback guys, I wasn't aware of the two output types, very cool!! :) I really like the bright crisp sound of my Elite with the Klipsch, so maybe the voltage output would be where I would start. I'm just so curious as to how it will sound compared to just the Elite powering them...
