Another critical question is: "What will we eat?" In the interest of reducing the host's workload, I suggest a pot luck. I like to cook and am willing to bring a couple of dishes. Rob, email or call me if you want to discuss this off the board. Lincoln
I say the more the merrier, Rob. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see any reason that there can't be more than one gathering. Inevitably there will be some people who can't make one date but can make another. Lincoln
You're on, Ralph. I appreciate that your wife is an excellent cook, but I'm sure that we can do a planned pot luck to ease the load. I know that people on this forum don't like Bose speakers so much, but I have the same Acoustimass 7's in my 'HT'. They are really one of the only speakers...
Oh come on, Ralph. That's dirty pool. I see the notice that someone has posted to this thread and I get all excited that just maybe something is happening and ... then ... Since we're the ones who are keeping this thing alive, maybe we should do something about it. Any ideas?
I'm about 50 minutes N of Springfield. I would be willing to host, but my current HT is nothing that would be interesting to anyone, so that's probably not a good idea. If someone else has an actual HT and is willing to host, I would help with the organizing and anything else that needs doing...
Is this thread still alive? As a Western MA newbie trying to educate myself about HT, I would be very interested, depending on the date. I will be out of the country between October 13 and November 1, but other than that, I'm there.
