I have a Sony 4ES and will be pairing them with some ascends at somepoint in the near future. I have been very happy with the 4ES so far. The only thing I miss is there is no "5 Channel Stereo" setting, or its equivelent, that tha Denons and others have. Matthew

I own the Energy Take 5.2s with an SVS 25-31PC+ sub. Personally I think the Take 5.2s are great speakers and I would say, IMHO, the best I could have bought at the time. If you are worried about the Take 5.2s build quality you may want to look at Axiom Micro's as they are similar in capability...

Very true! The only caution I would give is IF you get a sony receiver don't get anything below the ES line. I personally have a Sony DA4ES and love it but have heard a lot of complaints with their "lower end" receivers. Matthew
