/ That couldn't be further from the truth. B5 is something of an acquired taste to many and I don't think you can even remotely say the show is loved only by people who love ANYTHING sci-fi. There are plenty of people like that who didn't get into the show. It's not the kind of show everybody...
Even though it's not my favorite film, I'd have to say Star Wars: The Phantom Menace....the pod race scene. Really sounds great and you can distinctly hear the pods racing by you. That's the scene that usually impresses people the most in my demos.
The screenshots are nice, but I can deal with only a couple of them in the review. The review itself is the real stuff we're all looking for. If we need to lose some screenshots and quality of them, then that's ok. Thanks for the great reviews!
Can't wait to start picking these up again. Haven't watched much DS9 from my videotapes in forever, so it will be great to revisit the series again. The art? UGGGGLY! Yuk. Still, I'm not buying the sets because the box art looks nice. What counts is what's inside. If somebody ends up posting...
Not very good at all. As mentioned, not Battlefield Earth bad, but kind of crummy. It was so short, it's barely a movie. Even being under 90 minutes, about halfway through, my girlfriend and I were looking at our watches wondering when it would finally end. And that's for an 80-minute movie!
Picked up ATOC at Toys R Us for the bargain price. Also picked up pre-viewed copies of Manhunter, Van Wilder, Resident Evil and Orange County all for $9.99 at Blockbuster. Discs are clean as new. Still have to go get So. Park season one.
Why does everybody seem to let some random review upset them so? There have been plenty of reviews that I've disagreed with or figured that the critic hated the genre or was just biased against the movie to begin with. Who cares? So some guy I don't know wrote a review that ended up in print. I...
This news has had me bummed all weekend. I'm sending letters, but I don't think the campaign will ultimately be successful. Doesn't mean I won't try though. It would be nice if there could be at least one, perhaps two TV movies that could wrap things up.
I was so surprised when it first came out on DVD, I rushed to get them. I wasn't sure they would actually go through and release them all. Much less release a mega-set of the whole thing. Oh, well. They do take up space, but not as much as TOS. Sometime, I'm going to get around to printing...
I've noticed the TV shows in my collection are starting to crowd out the movies a bit. I'm very addicted to TV on DVD. I have so many that I want...it starts getting expensive. I'm collecting:
Farscape
Trek: TOS
Trek: TNG
Space: 1999
Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Babylon 5 (upcoming)...
Well, the explanation that was in the instruction manual of my player indicated that some CD tracks or MP3 tracks might not send an audio signal through the digital output....then you'd hear nothing without the analog. I don't know if this is anything that happens much, if ever...but that's the...
The covers are all fantastic. I saw the original series ones a while ago, but haven't printed any out yet. Where might I find a box to fit these alternate covers that would hold the TNG DVDs?
Ok, I actually just found a site linked from the alternate DVD covers. Do these cases have covers...
Hi...new here. I'm in full agreement about the August expenses. I've found myself spending more and more on DVDs. The Trek: TNG season sets haven't been helping dollar-wise. I might not have bought as many titles as I would have, but the dollars are being spent! This month for me: Trek...
