    Mother-in-law’s TV

I think an HD-capable set would be great but I’m concerned that they would be to cumbersome for her to use. Are there HD-capable sets that are simple to operate?

    Mother-in-law’s TV

The set she is replacing is about 30” or so. She does not have a particular budget in mind. She is willing to pay for the convenience of being able to watch what she wants, when she wants.

    Mother-in-law’s TV

My Mother-in-law has an old TV that resets itself whenever there is a power failure. Even if the power just flashes. Her cable box needs to have the TV on channel 4 but the TV resets to channel 2 and does not know that there any other channels. When this happens, I have to go over and reset her...

zalytron has it for 90USD. You can also get it from the manufacturer in Denmark if that is easier for you.

    Most musical speaker drivers

I tried to look at the Stryke tweeter, but their site seems to be under construction or something. All I could see was subwoofers. All the other pages could not be found. How do your new speakers sound?

    Most musical speaker drivers

I am getting ready to design a set of 3 way speakers and I would like your input as to driver selection. I know that there are great sounding drivers out there for big dollars, but I am more interested in the mid priced drivers. What are your recommendations for the most musical tweeter for...

    Internal wiring question

So what wiring would you suggest? I have been using North Creek Music’s suggestion of Tef-Flex AG for tweeter and midrange and Lex 10 AWG OFHC for woofers.

    Internal wiring question

I was thinking about using Goertz MI cable as the internal wiring for my next set of speakers. Has anyone done this? If so, did it make a difference and was it worth the money? What wire do you recommend for internal wiring?

Scott: I really like that center channel speaker. Do you have any close-ups of it?

Of the speakers you have built, which ones did you like best?

I enjoy building things. Lately it has been speakers that have gotten my attention. I think I enjoy building the speakers more than using the speakers. There is a large sense of satisfaction when you get to look at (and listen to) the final product. I was wondering, of all the speakers you...

Is anyone interested in some Arial speaker cabinets?

I am planning on building a pair of Ariels very soon. Since it will only be marginally more difficult to build two pair of speaker boxes rather than one, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in purchasing a set. This would be speaker boxes only. If so, I will make two.

    Fixing an old amp

This has only happened twice. The sub was putting out no sound and the LCD on the receiver got dim. When I turned it off and back on it started working correctly. I was not pushing it hard either time this happened.

    DIY Speakers

I would suggest the Audax Home Theater System designed by Joseph D’Appolito. I have completed the center channel and I am very pleased with it. I am still building the left and right speakers. Here is a write-up on the center channel.

Rabbets, flush mount and router bits

You need a circle cutting jig and a router to be able to flush mount your drivers. You can make a circle cutting jig yourself but if you are going to be cutting many different sized holes it may be worth it to buy one. I purchased the Jasper model 400Here. It will allow your router to cut...

Trimming veneer for flush mounted drivers

I have built the Audax home theater center channel speaker and I am in the process of building the boxes for the left and right speakers now. I have veneered the back and sides for the center channel. Trimming the veneer with a laminate trimming bit was no problem for the outside edges and the...
