Thanks for the info. As I still have my old amp, I think I will try to hook it up to the Sony using its 2nd room feature. The manual that came with the STR-DA4ES leaves a lot to be desired. If any one out there has experience with this, please help.

Went to the local Radio Shack to get speakers wires and found sone 12 gauge wires that were marked as "not for in wall" use. I will be running my wires through the wall and ceiling. Any one know the diffrence between wire approved in-wall use and wire that is not?
