    1080i vs. 720p

True- but Progressive scan still promotes or provides better contrast, color, lower noise foor, lower interlaced artifacts, and takes less room on a DVD, Tape, or to broadcast. 720p is also better for sports, movement, or fast motion.

    1080i vs. 720p

I was looking at the "time" of 1 field, not one frame, for which 720p contains more information. For 1 frame- 1080i in theory could provide more picture elements, but after the interlaced artifacts- probably won't look as good unless it's a still image. Too bad most HDTV is 1080i and most...

    Hitachi vs. Toshiba vs. Mitsubishi

Do you want a tuner? Do you want anti glare screen or would you remove it? Do you want DVI? You need to find out what you are looking for. If you don't need DVI, want HDTV tuner and would remove the screen... go with the Mits. Otherwise go with toshie or Hitachi

    APEX TV 's WEBSITE?

APEX is awful. I mean, for someone to buy it they must knowingly want and desire the lowest possible quality tv imaginable with utter disregard for quality or reliability. There is nothing lower... It is the bottom of the barrel. For $10-$20 more you can do alot better.

    Hitachi vs. Toshiba vs. Mitsubishi

511 has tuner and upgrade. hits and toshie have anti glare screen and DVI. tough call... hits is probably slightly more reliable and better than Toshie but at a slightly higher cost too.. You can go wrong with any of those three really.

Any 1 looking to sell their DTV HD Receiver?

The Huges is a good Box. Same as the Mits and toshiba boxes too.. Hughes owns DirecTV, and OEM's out alot of parts, and boxes for others. It has component and optical out.. but no VGA out. Stereophile Guide to home theater did a nice review on it. So did PerfectVision magazine...

    APEX TV 's WEBSITE?

Buy an open box floor model set from a good brand. Look for a $300 tv for $200 or so... That's where the value is, considering 27 tubes almost never break down or wear out. Generally 27 tubes last a long time... rare in our throw away society.
