I think i read somewhere in here that you can use an old reciever for an amp to power the rears just for an example. I am definatly not an expert so maybe someone will chime in on this.

I have the AVR 520 and yes I want the 6.1 speaker set-up. So you are saying that the 525 will do this and so will the 520 with an added amp. Would it be better with seperates (AVR 520 + amp )or one unit that does all like the AVR 525 ? I am new to all of this, any help would be great...
