Other than the component rack that Pioneer offers that matches this set, does anyone know of any other rack that would match? I remember reading something in a thread a year ago or so, but I could not find that thread via a search. Generally speaking, the rack would need to be gloss black and...
My house is wired with RG59 cable. I currently subscribe to basic cable services from Comcast. Does the RG59 need to be swapped out and replaced with RG6 in order to receive HDTV cable from Comcast? If not completely required, does picture degradation occur for HDTV broadcasts if using RG59? Thanks!
I'm upgrading my receiver to a 45tx (picked up a remaining one at a local stereo shop) to go along with my Denon 1600 DVD player. Question: Which piece would do a better job with the digital conversion, the receiver or the DVD player? Is there anybody out there with both pieces that have...
I'm considering a purchase of the 45tx (and yes, the 3803 as well....). Anyway, the 45tx would sit next to the TV, which would be approximately 26 feet from the viewing area. Can/does the microphone cord of the 45tx (assuming it has a cord) reach far enough to use the MCACC? If not, are there...
Bob, Thanks for the quick response. My question came from a couple of different reviews I've read, that were (in my mind) general to the DVD player, and not specific to the new audio formats -- I could go back and review again... One review was about the Denon 1600. It mentioned that the...
True newbie question here: If a receiver has bass management capabilities, is there any benefit to having a DVD player that also has bass management capabilities? Why do DVD players have bass management? Don't most A/V receivers these days have bass management? Thanks.
I can't speak to the quality of the construction of the Synergy, but I can speak to my belief of the quality of the sound. I went into my local stereo shop a few months back looking for a set of speakers for a home theater set up (90% DVD, 10% music). This stereo shop has a separate room full...
This may sound odd, but (I think) it's a serious question: Has anybody ever had issues with subwoofers breaking mortar loose in a glass block wall?
I'm still in the planning stages of my HT (thinking about dual 20-39 CS+), but the glass block wall is already in place.
I'll be emailing Tom...
The cable company always talks about their digital cable and how it "can use the existing cable in your house". Is the same true for satellites -- Is it possible to use the existing cable (house is approx 11 years old and uses the standard coax cable)? Does/Can that vary by provider? Thank...
