Response from JBL.....I am still covered under the 5 year warranty. Good evening and thanks for your inquiry. The JBL PB10 subwoofer carries a split 1/5 warranty, with the electronic portions (amp assembly, fuse, power supply, etc...) covered for 1 year, and the woofer covered for 5 years...

I have the PB10.......I bought a 25' rg6 coax cable from Radio Shack. Also got an RCA/coax adapter and Y splitter. It all cost under 20 bucks and works great.

You can still get the JBL NSP1 setup for under $300 plus a JBL 10" subwoofer for $300. I have this connected to my Yamaha 5560.......... I am very happy.........
