Are there any Roy Rogers films with decent DVD transfers? No reviews, but I noticed the The Arizona Kid was just released this month: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...v=glance&s=dvd I've found a list Glenn Buttkus put together on Amazon of various Roy Rogers films, which includes...
I've been following the discussion and I'm still wondering how DVE compares with other discs like AVIA and Sound & Vison Home Theater Tune-Up (2001)? I have the S&V. Is there a strong argument to purchase DVE? Sorry if this is considered way off thread. -thanks
Gabriel, Do you have additional pictures of the completed ceiling mount with your projector? The image you posted looks great! I'd be interested to see more... -thanks
Kevin, you should pick up Too Bad Jim. It was produced by the late writer/producer Robert Palmer. Its really an essential blues album. (You should also pick up another Palmer produced album by the late Junior Kimbrough, All Night Long). Pocket of Whiskey was done in collaboration with Jon...
Herb, thanks for the review. Your video & audio comments are really helpful. Its good to have a video context vs. other recent DVD transfers (Casablanca, etc.)

Sorry Stu I've never ordered from CD Universe so I can't offer anything there. Did you get the set yet? What made you order the entire box set? Is there anything extra in this box set? -thanks
Maybe someone can help me. Everything that I have read in reviews and from folks here is that The Searchers is only an adequate to good transfer. It appears to fall well short of Warner's best efforts. Yet, I see a number of people recommending it in a thread focused on identifying the...
It's great to hear people's picks! FWIW, it might be worthwhile to point out that Brent opened up this thread simply because there hadn't been much discussion on quality Westerns based on story AND picture/sound transfer. :) There are a couple of long threads already on what are your...
Aside from the upcoming Once Upon A Time In The West, does anyone have any major additions to the suggestions above? I'd be interested to hear more suggestions based on transfers that have been well handled, especially details like picture quality & sound. As was pointed out previously...
