right now i am using a strecthed black-out screen with a low dollar projector(ae-100) and i think it's just fine , also i would just use this until after the "game"save the exp. until later and just enjoy the the "game".
run the sat.audio & video output into the vcr's line one input using the s video and audio l&r input. if you are using the cable through this input ,you will need a audio/video switch box,if not run the cable coax straight to the vcr and use it to switch channels on cable. That way when you want...
Since you say you are new and the room is small ,get the onkyo 650. When you are ready for something better and you know your way around home theater better you can always move the 650 into the bedroom. This is a great little system to start with, you won't be disappointed.
use a "Y" connector from the vcr audio out , run a cable to each audio in on your rec.,it will still be mono ,but you should hear it thru a least the front three altough it may only come thru the center channel. If so use the advanced mode to "expand the sound".
chris if you want to run your dvd player in pro-logic change the output(audio) of the dvd player to analog in the dvd menu.using the coax ,the rec. "sees" only a DD signal or DTS signal.
you can go from one input to the next with a push of a button, two rows of button (total of 8)just below the power buttons, across the top of the remote.
Sound like a loose connection on the S-cable,the sound is probably vibrating the cable ,it happened to me, took a week to figure out , hope this helps.
Lanny, you have to run it into the cable box and run the video output to the tv, the audio outputs go to the rec.inputs from the cable box, or run the coax into the tv,if the tv has audio outputs run these to the rec.Use the input for video 1 . I think these are your only two options.
Elmo I was using a sony 53incher ,I much prefer the AE-100, as to quality @ 65 inches ,well let me say I don't know because I'm watching it at 84 inches , 65 is just too small!
I really like the Panasonic AE-100 about 1500.oo and a bulb life of 5000 hrs. any other projector in this price range will actually cost 500. more to operate over the same period of time.( check E-bay)this is based on the price of bulbs and bulb-life. BY the way I think the picture is great for...
For that kind of money I would look long and hard at a LCD projector. The panasonic ae-100 and the nec-vt45 can be had for about 1500.oo , what's wrong with having a 96 inch picture, yeah I know they are not the best out there but dollar for dollar they are hard to beat even on a home-made...
I would have to consider a lcd projector ,less than 2000.oo,small won't take up any floor space , how about a sharp 7ft. picture? the panasonic ae-100 and the nec vt45 come to mind both can be had for less than 1500.oo BY the way the panny's aspect ratio is 16x9.
I have several computer towers for sale , all have mobos, power supplies and cd drives of various speeds none with hard drives price 40.00 plus shipping
Mark With this kind of money i would have to look at a front projector either DLP or LCD why settle for 65 inches when you can have 100inches or better for less than 4 grand.
I just don't get it I guess,I listen to music on my VSX-d811s all the time and I think it sounds great esp. in 6-chl. I think alot has been said by people that truly have not heard this rec,by that i think these opinions are based on previous inferior products and general preceived rep.I not...
i would have to go with the RCA seems to have reasonable quality . the one i bought 7 yrs. ago is still running strong ( paid 250.00 ) was the cheapest 25 incher i could find , i still use it as a monitor when dubbing btwn sources as my equip.is in another room.
The sharp LCD screen I'm using is normally used on an overhead projector, used in a business presentation, I am going to use it in a cabinet with a 400watt metal halite bulb as a light source. the one I am using is a sharp qa-1750, comes with an S-video input as well as a RGB input. It features...
Has anyone ever built their own projector, if so how did it turn out? I am just getting started with mine , using a Sharp LCD . I'm looking for a good source for a lens. Any help would be great.
