I loved Revolutions, actually, so I'm looking forward to the DVD. It answered all my questions in an intelligent and entertaining way, and stayed true to the mythos the series had created for itself.
I so despise the fact that this is a flipper that I want my money back. Universal has screwed the pooch once again. I can't think of any way that Universal could possibly have screwed this release up any more thoroughly. This movie, more than any other movie in my life, is the one single...
For my part, I prefer the original cut, so I'm pleased with this. I would only want the extended cut if it had the option, like The Abyss, of watching either version.
I've been looking forward to this set since Smallville was released. There aren't many WB shows that are actually Warner productions, but I was hoping they'd follow one with the other, and thankfully they have. Gilmore's a great show, and I'm definitely picking up the set when it comes out.
I finished the set Sunday night and now I'm totally addicted to the show. Fortunately, I had access to the entire second season on VHS, so I'm working my through those now. Hope they release the second season soon, though. I'd love to watch it in widescreen.
$45 seems to be a really good price. I was able to get mine for $34 after tax, but that's only because I work for The WB (and no, contrary to popular belief, most studio employees do not get free DVDs). But of all the retail places I've seen, $45 seems to be the cheapest.
That's Peta Wilson as Mina Harker, not a vampire in the book or the comic the movie's based on, but inexplicably one in the film. I have issues with the film, most based on the editing and the extreme creative license the writers took with the literary characters, though there were also some...
That kinds bites, actually. I know I'm in the minority here, but I really prefer the default to be DD. If it automatically starts playing with the DTS track, that's actually enough to make me consider not buying it.
I much prefer Wyatt Earp over Tombstone. Tombstone has moments, and a good performance by Russell, but I personally feel that Earp is the better movie of the two.
Thank God it had the free movie ticket. I used the ticket to see DareDevil and still felt ripped off. But I haven't been able to find any easter eggs, either.
