Hi Erik! Nope, never got neither screw or mail. If you've sent it ground, then it'll perhaps come in a few weeks. If you sent it via air, the screw must have got lost in the mail.
Can anyone point me where to find a screw to unscrew the screws (:D ) that mount the amp on my SVS 16-46 PC+? I can't find any bit that fits. Here in Sweden, the biggest retailer of electronic parts doesn't even have square shaped bits at all. I'd appreciate any help I can get, thanx.
I find that 40 Hz, which is the lowest crossover point on my 16-46 PC+ is too high. 40 Hz is that of a frequency which really is ear-deafning and annoying. Since my mains (Canton Ergo RC-L) extend very well down to 30 Hz (even lower but at very low volume), I want only that real bottom to be...
Ed: Ok, thanks. If only I could find a program, able to display waterfall charts... I've found some at www.download.com but they're pretty primitive, nowhere near the waterfall charts up on the SVS homepage...
I just have a question to you guys who get these numbers with your meters; Do you acutally turn of all other speakers when you measure these peaks, or is the sound pressure of the other 5 (7?) speakers included? My 16-46 PC+ only bottoms when I play a THX demo (it might be DTS or DD too...
Hmm ok. I really don't understand the pessimism when it comes to 15 inch or more? What is all this BS about 15 inches won't work, because bla bla bla... ever heard of HGS-15 or B&W ASW4000? Do they shake? Are those bad subwoofers? Don't think so... If Velodyne can do a 18 inch monster...
And don't forget that midbass is not exactly what a subwoofer is supposed to pump. So don't blame the sub for not sounding enough "punch in the stomach-cly". :)
Well, just to be quick, it gives the music an entire new dimension, you hear things you've never heard before. I don't know if it's a break-in issue, but I feel like it sounds very "wet", as opposed to the dry hi-fi bass you're used to. It handles everything I've thrown at it perfectly...
Thanx for your replies.:emoji_thumbsup: Jonathan: Yepp, I've tried that, I've just connected one speaker to it, with no other inputs, the noise is still there. Also tried the optical input, same thing. Problem is that I've bought from an online store, however I have the same guaranties...
I've recently purchased a Marantz SR-4300 and I have a problem with it. I'm in Europe, so I have the 230 V / 50 Hz version. It hums and buzzes out of it constantly, and pretty loud. I have connected it to several different speakers with different speaker cables, in different rooms, but that...
Always wondered how one defines low level and high level? And I'm not talking about "well, low level is when you plug the signal through an RCA cable, and high level is an amplified signal which you carry with speaker cables". I want a complete technical specification. ;)
Speaking of low bass at theaters, what would you reckon how low the bass went, when the giants opened the gates in TTT? That was the lowest bass I've ever heard, but how low was that really? Or when Gimli blows the horn and when the hordes bang the ground with their weapons, pardon me, but holy...
Ron, Ed, everyone
Ok, I've made up my mind. I'm going for the 16-46 PC+. Totally, it's gonna cost me approx. 1000 USD to buy a PCi, including shipping, taxes, various custom fees and all that FBS, and 1200 USD for the PC+. So I'm thinking, If I'm gonna have the best, I ain't gonna be stingy...
Everyone who's posted:
Thanx for your recommendations.:emoji_thumbsup:
Ron:
My budget ís tight at the moment, I got problems at work, and my paycheck this month is 350 bucks minus. So it's just a matter of time, either this month or the next. I've decided on the 16-46, however I'm still...
So, in a week or two, I'll be ordering a SVS sub. I've made up my mind, and damn it, I'm gonna have one. :D
Anyway, the reason why I even caught attention to these subs, was their output in < 25 Hz area. If I wanted loud output at 35 Hz +/- 5 Hz range, I'd instead buy two 5 k subs, perhaps...
Kieran: Well when you produce the sounds with a synthesizer and when you mix the sounds all together to make them sound right, adjust different stuff like equalization and levels, you must have a speaker that handles that stuff really good, as when a proffessional studio uses extremely...
How do you monitor that shit ( < 20 hz stuff) when you mix it? And where the *peep* do they get those soundeffects from? Those are my questions. :p mikael
Hello! I was just wondering if any of you guys and gals have heard the B&W CM4 or maybe the CM2? What are your impressions of them, and are they worth the money you pay for them in comparison with DM600 S3 series, say 601 and 603? Sorry for any grammatical mistakes, I'm swedish. :p...
