I tried it and I can sometimes feel it scrape a little bit, but it does that on every speaker including the 340's. You have to push in a little ways though. I pushed gently to avoid damage.

I just bought an Integra 5.4 And I love it so far. I got it for 545.00 U.S. So if you dan find it in Canada it should be right in your price range. Iwas comparing it to the Denon 2803 which was more expensive and the Integra just sounded better.

I have the same problem with my keenwood sub. Try what they suggested. I have the level on the reciever at 10 and use the sub volume to adjust. It still turns on and off but not nearly as often. The keenwood sub does not allow you to turn off this feature.
