www.markertek.com You can buy a cable that has RCA on one end and 1/4 on the other here for short money. An adapter will also work, it's no big deal as I remember many people running into the same problem a few years ago when SVS first came out and many were using pro amps for the first time.
I had the AT 370THX full system and added a pair of SVS 20-39's / QSC 500X2 and it added a ton of performance. I'd definately recomend the swap. I"ve since gone to a VMPS system but mainly due to my main interest being 2ch music

This is an interesting site. This system is suposed to be close to the best, I don't know if it's outdated though. The surrounds look like the could work well in a HT, They will sell to the public also.
They recently updated the local "mega theater" close to me and it has 15 Theaters all with stadium seating, huge screen and THX. I agree that in a HT you can make the sound effects more noticeable as you control the volume and your much closer to all speakers. But I agree theres nothing like...
Is there sub 30Hz sound on movie soundtracks? I'll say I've never been disapointed in the sound/bass in any of the first class theatres (Stadium seating, THX, etc) Actually I prefer the movie experience at the theater to that of a HT. Not to say that a pefectly setup HT system consisting of...
I was just reading the thread about the 19 year old guy who at first hated his SVS and then blew up his amp. I noticed where a few guys who know a good amount about bass/subs suggest he buy a few pro JBL subs and this made me remember something I had been thinknig about. The newest THX theaters...
I'd stay with MK for your subs. The 150P are arguabley some of the best HT speakers avail (imo)and they deseve no less than MK's best subs. I would go with two 350's or 5000's, you can start with one and buy another when you are ready (if this is a $$ situation) You can also find them for much...
No doubt, I don't know how I forgot it. The bose AM series subs may not have the full output as SVS but it's by far more "musical" and just soooo much faster. How they get so much from such a small box with 4 3/4" drivers is something I'll never be able to comprehend.
For a HT ONLY sub I don't see how SVS can be beat,(VMPS is the only noticebly better I've heard) I'm sure there are a few out there that may be equal or a tad better but for the $$$ SVS is a can't miss as far as HT goes. Now if you were to say HT/audio I think SVS is still near the top but with...
I"d do it, Widescreen Review still uses them in a few of their setups, for LFE mainly I think, But I would jump on one at that price. They supposedly excel at both music/HT.
Pair of original SVS 20-39 Cylinder series subwoofers. They are in great condition and work as well as a new pair. This model needs an amplifier as they are not powered. $250 each $450 pair does not include shipping, located in Boston area, pick up is prefered
Cinepro has never gotten the respect they deserve, probably due to their name which implies HT and turns off many audiophiles. I have a 1K2 which I use for 2ch, I originally bought it for subs but it was way too good. I actually prefer it to just about any 2ch amp under $3000. I don't know if...
The B-P-T model 2.5 is exactly what you want. This unit gives performance of the much more $$$ Furman and EquiTech prods at much less money.

VMPS RM2 are closer to $2500 and better than anything in the price class you mention. Their RM40 at aprox $4500 is as good as you can get under $10000. They are factory direct but there are a few showrooms around the USA.

Dynaudio no doubt makes great speakers but they are way over priced. You could get speakers from VMPS or ACI which would give superior performance for much less money. The name Dynaudio instantly adds about 30-50% onto the price of speakers.
