I am getting voltage interference from incoming CATV signal on my whole house audio system. It is causing a slight hum in the background which is noticable in between songs at high volumes or at the end of CD's. The installer unhooked the CATV and it went away so I know it is the source. He...
Low on the learning curve so be easy on me. When should I be using the "Virtual HD" on my Hitachi RPTV. The manual says "press to toggle between 1080i and 540p" - lost me there too. Can someone explain that as well? I did a search but still am lost. My head is spinning:frowning:
The delivery guys dropped off my new Hitachi 57TWX20B last night (yahooooooo:D ). and they had an interesting comment on Samsung. They mentioned that 70% of the Samsung TV's they drop off need to be picked up again for repair....sometimes multiple times. They think it is great because they get...
Well Keith you are quite correct - I don't even know what HDCD is - nevermind what it has to do with the post but thanks anyway Mark:b I will look at the 400 disk changer by Sony as well. Is it a pain to index all the CD's? MP3 playback is a great bonus. Any other CD rippers and players such...
We just built a new house and I purchased a Russound 6.4 for whole house audio. Needless to say - playing cd's in my single DVD player isn't cutting it (running back and forth to much).
Can you guys recommend a good multi disk cd player (that hopefully plays mp3/wma)for my stack?
I don't...
I am currently shopping around for a 57" projection TV for the house we are building. I spec'd out the enclosure for the 57" Hitachi mainly due to the excellent measurement information in pdf on their website. I am trying to decide on between the Hitachi 57UWX20B ($3800 Cad) and the new Sony...
Just to clarify - there I won't have cabinets for the rears.
They will be just either attached to the wall with brackets or in wall for aesthetics.
The cabinet will be at the front and I plan on bookshelf speakers there - probably my existing Energy Take 5's for a little while anyway.
So...
I am building a new house and considering either wall mounted speakers or in wall speakers for just the rears.
I like the cleaner look but am afraid that if they blow or I want to upgrade the rears later that it will be a huge hassle.
Comments?
Thanks Marc. Let me clarify.
The rears would be possibly in wall for a 5.1 system.
I have reservations regarding in wall for the system that is why I thought I would ask.
I may have 7.1 in the future but that is a ways off budget wise until it comes to the consumer level price wise.
Hi everyone - this is my first post here!
I am currently building a house and I have the Energy Take 5's in my existing house.
I am planning on putting in wall speakers for the rear l/r speakers.
1. Should I go in wall or mount speakers on the rears (aethetics vs. technical)
2. If in...
