me personnally db id be interested in the dual 2 ohm coils or quad 4 ohm. Quad 4ohm might be interesting as well since it could prolly provide a little better efficiency when set up as 1 ohm and more then likelly have more power handling. And the configurations with quad coils is pretty...
dual 4 ohm :frowning: no one is gonna use this as an 8 ohm sub so this kinda leaves 2 ohm operation and 4ohm(1coil shorted) open. so why not incorporate dual 2ohm coils would make 1ohm, 2ohm and 4 ohm possible, witch is a lot more attractive for me anyways.......
so from the pics this is a dvc woofers, so what would be the znom of each coil(im hopping dual 2 ohm :)) hehe. Also any eta on this beast(starts to save up :) , i want 1 for sure especially if the thing with jim works out, a pair would be killer tho :)))
cool jim thats what i wanted to hear hehe, bridged k2 then no way in hell id be able to burn out the vc's. Im near ottawa hehe so i think we could work sumthin out hehe :)
well if someone could sneek 1 past the border id be really interested hehe. Also any idea when we could get more acurate specs on this and well maybe the an rms wattage thx
thx for the reply Mark but ive already checked them out and they dont have any of the drivers i wanted.Guess ill have to settle for crappy driveres.......lol
Hi guys ive been thinkin of replacing the 12inchers in my 3 ways with newer stiffer audax ht300go(will need padding on this) my other choices would of been the dayton series 2 but not available in canada. Reason i want to change them is well after 12 years the woofers have gotten pretty soft and...
well the avr 125 doesn have component in or out no learning remote and well remote sux Imo and has no preouts from what i can see and well the avr 225 well only 5 channel plus same as avr 225 and well the 325 is well too expensive for my taste.
Ok guys here goes, Ive been looking to get a receiver for quite sometime now but things just never added up... And well now that me and the gf are done with, well i decided its time to take the plunge. Ive read a lot on the subjects and done lots of research i havent looked @ denond and...
Well i aint no expert or anything but from going 250 watts(plate amp or 272 if you get the 300-794 from pe) to 350 watts you will only see about a 1.2 db increase witch IMo is not worth the cost of the amplifier. Also have you looked into pro audio amps in your area, like maybe a qsc rmx 850 or...
ok guys here goes my friend wants to gets some subs for his cars, Witch is a 1990 lumina. And since the backs eats doesnt fold down i was thinkin that that would/could lower the output considerably. And well yaya he's just like most other car audio guys, he wants some big spl(well it's kinda a...
Allan I was just wondering if well the mcm has clearly more xmax(17mm as stated over the 12mm of tb, even tho i think you got the 17mm tb's right??). Also the sensivity is it better then the tb driver or his mcm's 87db overrated :) thanx
Wow pretty simmilar to each other, from the pics the tb looks to be a bit taller(or deeper)??. Also keep us posted on the important stuff, how it sounds :)
Brian did you ever bother to get that w8 tested(clio...) to see if the stated parameters were exact. Cause 84 db sens is low IMO and would love to build some mains with 3-4 of these per main. And it also helps that yhere is a cnd distributor. As for the mcm driver anyone ever use/try it yet.
I know that the pe amps ae not rated as 2 ohm stable but has anyone ver tried running one @ 2ohm, even maybe add some extra cooling like a fan or sumthin to it, so it stays cool. Sure it would reduces its life span some but for the extra power i think it would be a good trade off.
